Wonder Box

This method allows trainers to trade their Pokemon for a random one across the world. Putting a Pokemon into one of the open spots will eventually exchange it with the contents of another trainer’s Wonder Box, there are no take backs once this happens. Note that there will only bethree open spots for the free versioncompared to premium users who get ten spots. Furthermore, the Wonder Box is active even when trainers aren’t using the Pokemon Homeapp.

GTS

GTS lets trainers search for desired Pokemon while specifying what they will trade in return. From there, the system will pair up individuals with the right requirements on both sides. After details such as level and gender look good, trainers can complete the trade by offering their Pokemon desired by the other party. Free users can only put one Pokemon into the GTS whilethe premium version lets up to three Pokemon at a time.

Room Trade

If trainers want a more social experience while trading, they can take part in a room trade. These trade rooms cap at 20 trainers and involve exchanging Pokemon among whoever joins. With only two people the trade is straightforward, but the result becomes increasingly random as more trainers gain access to the room. Note that freeusers can only join rooms, creating one requires the premium version ofPokemon Home.

Friend Trade

Finally, trainers have the option to trade with any friends made on Pokemon Home. If they don’t have any yet, there is an “Add Friend” feature from the main menu that only requires the friend code from their Pokemon Homeprofile. After the friendship is confirmed, trainers and their friends can then trade Pokemon barringrestrictions similar toPokemon GOsuch as being age 16 or older.

Pokemon Homeis now available for the Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
