March will continue the momentum of Wrestlemania season asWWE 2K24releases in the first half of the month, with promises of ushering forward a new era in sports simulation gaming.
WWE 2K24looks to be absolutely packed, with over 200 playable characters to choose from, a host of new match types, and a special Showcase Mode that will celebrate some of thegreatest moments in Wrestlemania’s 40-year history. Of the stacked roster of superstars, players may be eager to find outhow to unlock CM Punkand realize the polarizing star’s dream of reclaiming the throne of WWE.
How to Unlock CM Punk In WWE 2K24
Despite his cult-like following, former WWE champion and AEW alum CM Punk is not included in the release day roster forWWE 2K24. The reasons for this are not entirely clear, but it may have been a timing issue. The self-proclaimed Best In The World only returned to the company as a contractedathlete at Survivor Seriesback on June 18, 2025, so there may not have been time to add him in before finalizing the game. With that said, it is also completely possible that the company, famous for creating drama for the entertainment of their fans, may have delayed his appearance in the game to generate a bigger buzz around the title.
With that said,CM Punk will be included inWWE 2K24’s first DLC Pack, titled the ECW Punk Pack. The pack features CM Punk along with some hardcore legends from the ECW era that long-time fans of the sport will be just as eager to see appear. The pack contains the following;
That means that, in order to unlock CM Punk as a playable character inWWE 2K24,players will need to purchase theSeason Pass, or at the very least the ECW Punk Pack.
Players who purchase theDeluxe or Forty Years of Wrestlemania EditionsofWWE 2K24will have the Season Pass included in their purchase, so they will not need to do anything further.
When Will CM Punk Be Available in WWE 2K24?
While CM Punk’s appearance inWWE 2K24has been confirmed, and he has been included in a pack, players unfortunately won’t be able to get their hands on his playable character until the pack releases. The ECW Punk Pack is the first DLC release on the game’s roadmap andwill be available on Jun 14, 2025.
While it will be a bit of a wait before the Straight-Edge Superstar can be playable inWWE 2K24, it’s not to say that his likeness won’t become available before then. Given the wrestler creation feature is a mainstay in WWE games, and in more recently titles there has been the opportunity todownload community-created personalities, it is likely that someone will create their own CM Punk for download - that is, if you don’t put one together yourself.
