Hunter’s Arena: Legendsis abattle royale gamewith melee combat and a layer of RPG-esque systems on top, including one for equipment and items. Given the real-time multiplayer nature of the game, the equipment system has been streamlined a great deal so that players don’t have to spend a lot of time comparing, tinkering, bartering, and crafting.

But still, it’s useful for players to get a handle on how the system works before diving into the game. Otherwise, they’re likely tofind themselves killedby rival players when they’re busy checking their inventory or chatting to a blacksmith or merchant.
8Where To Find Items
Items can be foundin treasure chests or looted from defeated mobs, bosses, and rival Hunters. They can even sometimes be found lying around loose where another player has failed to collect them.
The best strategyis usually to start the game at the edge of the map and pick off easy mobs. This will get players some XP, some Gold, and usually a few basic items to equip. Later on, players might find a merchant or advanced merchant, and they can buy items from them too.
7How To Equip Gear
All players have to do to equip gear is stand close to it and press the Obtain button. This will collect the item and, if it’s better than whatever the player currently has equipped, it’ll automatically be equipped. This leaves the player free tohack and slashtheir way around the map undistracted.
The item stats inHunter’s Arena: Legendsare pretty straightforward, and the game will almost always correctly pick the best gear, but if the player disagrees and would like to equip an alternative item, they can do so by selecting that item on the inventory screen.
6How To Heal
Not everyone enjoyshealing in action RPGs, but it’s usually a necessity. There are Health Regen stones scattered about the map inHunter’s Arena: Legends, butthe main way for players to Heal themselves is to use Healing Potions. Each player starts with a small number and can obtain more from loot and merchants.

The item drops are actually called Potion Replenishers, and players can hold up to 150 of them, which is usually more than enough to fully heal a wounded Hunter. Drink potions by pressing the default consumable button (left on the D-pad), making sure there are no nearby enemies first. The Hunter will keep drinking until fully healed.
5What Do Books Do?
Books grant an immediate bonus as soon as they are picked up.They don’t need to be equipped or carried, and they won’t appear in the player’s Inventory. Just stand close to one, press the Obtain button, and the bonus will immediately be applied.
All book bonuses last until the end of the game and affect either XP or one of the Hunter’s stats. Books are divided into Minor and Major books, the difference simply being the size of the bonus gained by obtaining them.
4How To Navigate The Inventory Screen
Hunter’s Arena: Legends' UI navigationdoes need some fixes, but the Inventory screen is pretty easy to work with. On the left side of the Inventory screen is the Detail section. This is a summary of a Hunter’s total stats, taking into account their level, their equipment, and any other active buffs. The Combat Power stat is calculated based on other stats and gives an idea of the Hunter’s overall effectiveness.
In the center, all of the currently equipped items are displayed – one weapon, one armor, one helmet, two pieces of jewelry, and up to four consumables. The Bag, on the right of the screen, displays the player’s Gold, Power Crystals, and Pure Power Crystals, as well as any non-equipped items, which can be selected and dismantled in return for Power Crystals.
3How To Buy And Sell Gear
General merchants buy and sell items in return for Gold. They’ll buy any unwanted item the player has, but only sell Potions and other consumables. To sell an item, select it on the right side of the merchant screen. To buy items, select an item type on the left of the screen, then choose the desired number.

Advanced merchants stock Legendary items and only trade in Power Crystals. They usually have one Legendary item of each type in stock, so a Hunter can almost be fully equipped with Legendary items in one visit if the player has enough Pure Power Crystals. If not, then advanced merchants sell Pure Power Crystals in return for lots of Power Crystals.
2How To Upgrade Gear
Upgrade weapons, armor, and jewelry from the Normal, Rare, and Unique tiersby finding a blacksmith and trading Power Crystals in return for upgrades. Each upgrade raises the item’s tier by one level (which significantly increases all of its stats), with higher tier upgrades costing more Power Crystals.
In order to upgrade a Heroic weapon, piece of armor, or piece of jewelry into its Legendary form, the player needs a Pure Power Crystal. Legendary upgrades always cost just one Pure Power Crystal, and Legendary items cannot be upgraded any further.
1How To Get Power Crystals
Power Crystals are either found or obtained by dismantling equipment so, while there’s generally no need to go to the inventory screen to equip items,it’s a good idea to stop and dismantle some unwanted items during a quiet safe moment. This will minimize the time spent on the blacksmith screen later.
Pure Power Crystals are dropped by rival Hunters (at the end of one of those duelsthis game does so well) or can be swapped for a large number of Power Crystals when visiting advanced merchants. They’re used for buying Legendary items from advanced merchants, and for upgrading Heroic items to Legendary with the help of blacksmiths.
