TheJust Causeseries is what might have been produced if Michael Bay made video games instead of movies. With explosions, explosions, and more explosions, theJust Causegames have the player take control of Rico Rodriguez, a ‘dictator removal specialist’ tasked with causing as much mayhem as possible with the aim of taking down a series of brutal tyrants.

Players are let loose in a gigantic world filled with towns to liberate, military bases to blow up, and bad guys to dispatch, and are given loads of useful tools to take on the military in style. Here are the most ludicrous things players can get up to in the world ofJust Cause.
10Deploy Infinite Parachutes
Apparently not content with just one parachute to glide him to safety, Rico has cracked the code and is able to deploy a never-ending supply. He can release himself from parachutes at will, entering a free-fall or opening his wingsuit, only to immediately deploy another one should the situation call for it.
How is this possible? That’s something only Rico and the Agency can answer, but itallows players to traverse the mapwithout the fear of fall damage or crashing into something while wingsuiting - an essential tool if there ever was one.
9Order Vehicles On-Demand
If players find themselvesstuck in the middle of nowhereand need a ride, or require some heavy firepower to assault a nearby base, they can use the supply drop system to get whatever they need air-dropped in a handy shipping container.
This makes sense for smaller vehicles like cars or motorbikes, but Rico can order anything from an armored tank to a city bus, from a jet fighter to a military transport plane, from a gunboat to the enormous industrial trucks that can be found in Bavarium mines. These massive vehicles can be dropped anywhere, and quickly put to use for Rico’s creative and chaotic purposes.
8Take Part In Massive Battles
Whether it be helping to liberate a region inJC3, or fighting on the frontlines with the Army of Chaos inJust Cause 4, Rico can work alongside his allies to defeat the military. Players will often be able to engage in skirmishes, hijacking tanks and helicopters to help out the rebels, or taking out elite military soldiers.

In turn, Rico’s allies will sometimes help him liberate a base, with the player required to open a gate or disable air defenses before the rebels storm in guns blazing. They can even show up in helicopters and jet fighters to wreak havoc upon the enemy while Rico wingsuits right through the mayhem.
7Pilot A Force-Field Tank
Something straight out of a Star Wars movie, the Imperator Bavarium vehicle is a tank that uses Bavarium to create a shield around it, granting protection from all types of damage. Rico can hijack one of these, which can be done by waiting until the shield goes on cooldown, or he can unlock it by liberating Cava Montana and acquire his own through the rebel drop system.
There is also a helicopter version, called the Urga Mstitel, which can be unlocked by completingJust Cause 3’s main story. It possesses the same Bavarium shield as the tank.
6Manipulate Gravity In A Mech
JC3’sMech Land AssaultDLC allows players to jump into a four-wheeled mech, which has some powerful tools to play with. One of these is a gravity gun, allowing Rico to pick up objects, vehicles, and people and throw them around. Players can use the environment to their advantage by throwing destructible objects at each other to cause chain reactions.
The mech can also use a force pulse to push away anything before it, and has a Bavarium shield on top of that (as if it was lacking in features). Whatever the case, mechs can tear apart entire military installations in sheer seconds through a bit of creativity with its gravity gun.
5Equip A Weaponized Wingsuit
Introduced inJC3’sSky FortressDLC, Rico can upgrade his wingsuit with weapons and a speed boost to rain down devastation from above. The new and improved suit has a Bavarium machine gun and homing rockets that can lock onto vehicles and stationary objects.

The wingsuit also gets an engine mounted on the back to provide Rico with a temporary speed boost, making the grapple-fly technique not as crucialto maintaining speed and altitude. Rico can also evade incoming missiles by doing a barrel roll, as long as he times it right, that is.
4Inflate Hot Air Balloons
InJust Cause 4, Rico gains the ability to attach hot air balloons to things, inflating them and deflating them at will. Fancy giving a Black Hand soldier a once-in-a-lifetime experience? Attach a hot air balloon to him and watch as he is dragged up into the clouds. Ran a vehicle into a ditch? Use the balloons to get it out.
They are still balloons, however. If shot at, they’ll burst, sending their hapless victims plummeting back to the ground. Use with tethers and explosives to create hilarious and destructive combos.
3Plant Booster Explosives
Small C4-esque devices that can be placed by hand, these booster explosives do not explode when triggered. Instead, they activate booster rockets that often propel whatever they’re attached to far off into the distance.
Players can attach these to NPCs and watch as they spin across the ground, plant them on cars to give them a fatal speed boost, or use them to topple destructible objects. Or, ifRico is feeling particularly mischievous, he can simply place them on a cow and launch it into the sky before it detonates in comedic fashion.
2Tether Objects Together
Rico can use his grappling hook to create up to six tethers between different objects, attaching them together. Players can then reel the objects towards one another, and detach at any time, offering a whole lot of creative gameplay decisions.

Perhaps the player wants to bring down two fuel tanks on top of each other, or let a soldier dangle from high up before releasing the tether and letting him fall to his death. Maybe Rico wants to deal with helicopter reinforcements by reeling them into the ground, or send a pursuing vehicle veering off course with a well-placed tether. The opportunities are endless.
1Stunt Jump On Anything
In a nod to the action-movie style of gameplayJust Causeadopts, Rico can stand on top of any vehicle and jump between them in dramatic style. This works on just about anything – F1 cars, fighter jets, helicopters. Rico even jumps to and from several nuclear missiles in the final mission ofJust Cause 2.
Players canfire their weapons from the roof of their car, hijack enemy vehicles, tether objects together, and even plant explosives before bailing off and watching as it bursts into flames. Rico can even grapple between planes in mid-air. It doesn’t get more absurd than that.
