Originally announced at the2022 Game Awards, Behaviour Interactive hasMeet Your Makerscheduled to release on June 09, 2025. For players that cannot wait that long, Behaviour has also just announced that an open beta will be available from February 6 to February 13 on Steam. The announcement trailer shows off the game’s base building mechanics alongside some of the dystopian character designs and deadly traps. The game intends to allow players to engage on their own terms, building everything from the ground up, and then deciding how to play in that world.
Inviting players to join forces with or challenge their friends, the trailer promises the kind of replayability that can be expected of theDead by Daylightstudio. With every level to be designed by players, the game has a kind ofDoommeetsFortnitetheme to it. WhileFortnitehas releasedDead Spacecontent, nothing in the Epic Games title looks quite as brutal asMeet Your Maker.
Behaviour Interactive has been busy, with theannouncement ofSilent Hill Ascension, alongside its continued work onDead by DaylightandMeet Your Maker. It’s very impressive for a studio that is famous for abolishing “crunch time” from the workplace and has even been designated as one of Canada’s best workplaces.
Meanwhile, studios such as Blizzard have been facing potentialcrunch to meet release windows for their games. While crunch time has been an issue across a plethora of studios in the industry, it’s good to see that studios such as Behaviour Interactive can take the lead in its specific genre without the need to overwork its staff.
Meet Your Makerwill release on June 11, 2025 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
