After being announced just earlier this year during a Nintendo Direct,Metroid Dreadis very close to launching on the Nintendo Switch. The title has been in development for a very long time and has been a long-standing rumor in the video game industry, withMetroid Dreadoriginally planned on launching for the DSback in the mid-2000s but was left behind due to the graphical limitations of Nintendo’s handheld device.
Not only isMetroid Dread, otherwise known asMetroid 5, launching soon, but there’s a uniquetwo-pack amiibo set that includes Samus with her new and stylishMetroid Dreadsuitas well as an EMMI figure, which are the main antagonistic robots of the game. Players will be able to purchase the two-pack set on launch day and use the figures to gain a few advantages, such as extra health and missile tanks. However, Nintendo fans that reside in Europe will have to wait a little bit longer.

Confirmed via a tweet from the official Nintendo of Europe Twitter account, theMetroid Dreadamiibo pack has been delayed and is now planned to launch in stores across Europe and the UK on November 5th, almost a month afterMetroid Dread’s launch. Of course, Nintendo apologizes to fans to close off the tweet, but many fans will, unfortunately, still be disappointed in the wait for the amiibo.
This isn’t the first time this year that Nintendo’s amiibo figures have been delayed, however. Back in the summer whenThe Legend of Zelda: Skyward HDwas released,Nintendo faced shipping issues with the Loftwing amiibo, which would allow players to use a new fast travel quality of life feature that wasn’t in the original Wii release. Some fans that pre-ordered the amiibo for launch day would find themselves having to wait a bit longer to use the updated travel feature.
Metroid Dread’s amiibo figures only offer players extra energy tanks and increased missile capacity, so fans that don’t get their hands on the two-pack set shouldn’t feel too discouraged. Although there could be a chance that these amiibo figures will function withMetroid Prime 4, it’ll be quite some time before that game actually launches, so fans will just have to wait and see.
