Summary
AMinecraftplayer has built a wildly complex temple dedicated to Jens Bergensten.Minecraftwas created by Notch, who received an impressive temple dedicated to him in 2011, and another player decided that Bergensten should be commemorated in the same way.
With how many blocks there are inMinecraftBedrock and Java editions, players often share impressive creations. Redstone furthers the capabilities of these blocks as things can move to automate farms or create impressive moving displays. As mods can add even more types of blocks, the creative potential ofMinecraftis nearly limitless. In 2011, YouTuber FVDisco dedicated a downloadable map to Notch, which morphed a temple into his likeness. Inspired by the Temple of Notch, one player has made a similar area dedicated to Jens “Jeb” Bergensten.
YouTuber FuzeIII recently shared a clip of the Temple of Jeb that they made in an adventure world like the Notch one. FuzeIII used mod tools to get the shape right and made a video highlighting the creation process. Like the Notch temple, the Jeb one features a pool that will open a door if players sacrifice an item to it. FuzeIII drops aMinecraftRedstone Dustinto the pool, and the doors to the real temple open. In the distance is a mountain with the likeness of Jeb, including his beard and glasses. As the player approaches, this version of Jeb comes to life, and water pours from its eyes. The mountain’s mouth then opens to reveal wool meant to be its teeth that cycles through a rainbow of colors.
FuzeIII stated the Jeb temple was made because they felt the Mojang developer deserved as much credit as Notch. The YouTuber pointed out that Notch was at Mojang for 5 years, while Jeb has been there for 12 years. Jens Bergensten is the Chief Creative Officer of Mojang Studios, and the dev is regularly depicted in update videos andduringMinecraftmob revealsthat drop ahead of votes. As many of the recentfans of the game have seen more of Jeb than Notch, this temple may receive even more love than the one that inspired it. Similar to the Notch map, the Jeb one can be downloaded through a link that FuzeIII has provided.
WhileNotch has left Mojangand his temple has become less popular than other maps, this Jeb monument may bring back memories for long-time fans. Although Jeb’s long hair isn’t reflected by this temple, the likeness is nearly perfect apart from that.
