Ever sinceMonster Hunter Riselaunched in late March, Capcom has been updating the game with new monsters, features, and special event quests. Themassive 2.0 updatelaunched at the end of April and many fans are still diving into the content and attempting to defeat monsters like Kushala Daora and Teostra. However, with the 3.0 update coming very soon, Capcom has announced yet anotherMonster HunterDigital Event for fans to enjoy later this week.

TheMonster HunterDigital Event will premiere live on Jul 19, 2025, at 7 AM PT/ 8 AM MT / 9 AM CT / 10 AM ET/ 3 PM BST, Capcom has confirmed. The event will not only cover the upcoming update forMonster Hunter Rise, but more details will be shown regardingMonster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, the next entry in the RPG spin-off series. Fans will be able to watch the presentation on theMonster HunterTwitch and YouTube channels. As of the time of writing, Capcom has not confirmed just how long the presentation will be.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 Update Info and Release Time

As far as what the 3.0 update forMonster Hunter Risecontains is still up in the air, as Capom is keeping its lips shut regarding the monsters that will be added. All that the company has confirmed so far is that the update will include an additional story chapter that takes place after the game’s original ending, and there will be new monsters obviously.

Just like the previoustitle update forMonster Hunter Rise, the patch will be free for all players. The new update will require approximately 1.4GB of space on the Switch. And if players have yet to download any of theRiseupdates, the entire download will be 2.9 GB total.

As far as when theupdate will be going live, Capcom has not said anything about that yet, but, if it’s anything like the last one, the update should begin to pop up for playersa few hours after the broadcastcomes to an end.

TheMonster HunterDigital Event that premiered back in April was about 16 minutes long, with half of the video showcasingMonster Hunter Stories 2gameplay footage, and the other half focused onMonster Hunter Rise. Fans should expect the broadcast to mirror the previous one, asStories 2is scheduled to launch in less than two months, so Capcom will most likely want to push the marketing as much as it can for that one.
