As pointed out by The_Iceman2288 in a post they made on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit, the thumbnails for theGears of War 2and3soundtracks “on Steve Jablonsky’s YouTube channel have been updated to include The Coalition logo” in the bottom right corner. Jablonsky, for those unaware, is the composer who wrote the musical scores for theGoWfranchise’s second and third installments, so for him to make such a seemingly unnecessary tweak to the album covers of those games is a bit strange. As such, some are taking this as a sign thattheMarcus Fenix Collectionrumorsare legitimate and that the compilation will be revealed in the near future. However, it’s possible that this minor change means absolutely nothing.
The biggest reason why hints like these regarding this rumoredGearscollection keep circulating is that a compilation of the series' original trilogy has been highly requested for long time. After all, the originalGears of Waris the only Xbox 360 game in the franchise to get a remaster and PC port so far.GoW 2,3,andJudgment, meanwhile, are still only playable onmodern Xbox consoles via backwards compatibility, with no native ports available for Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S, let alone PC.
