On Aug 02, 2025,South Parkwill officially be 24 years old. In that time, though, there have only been 9 video games related to the franchise. There were a few games in the late 1990s and early 2010s, but few received the attention thatSouth Park: The Stick of Truthdid in 2014. Since then, there has been a sequel inSouth Park: The Fractured But Wholeand a mobile game. However, it seems there is now another one in development.

Thecreators ofSouth Park,Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have signed a new deal with ViaComCBS. This deal will pay these creators $900 million over the next six years, which is one of the richest deals in TV history, Bloomberg reports. From this deal, fans will be able to see new episodes ofSouth Parkon Viacom’s Comedy Central, as well as several spin-off movies for Paramount+. The first movie is set to release later this year, and overall, it sounds like a good time to be a fan of the franchise. However, Parker and Stone aren’t stopping there.

Stone and Parker have also established a $600 million credit facility with HPS Investment Partners LLC, and it appraised their library’s value at close to $1 billion. Parker and Stone are going to use that money and the funding not just for the movies for Paramount+, but to invest in a documentary series, a weed company, and a 3DSouth Parkvideo game, among others. Not much else has been said, so it’s safe to say that the project is in the absolute earliest stages and may not see release for quite a few years.

Also pointed out by Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier is the question of who will be publishing the game.South Park: The Stick of Truthwas developed by Obsidian Entertainmentand published by Ubisoft,South Park: The Fractured But Wholewas developed by Ubisoft San Francisco and published by Ubisoft, and the mobile gameSouth Park: Phone Destroyerwas developed by RedLynx and published by Ubisoft. From what’s been made known, it’s impossible to determine what company is publishing it and furthermore what the game even is.

Fans will have to wait and see what theSouth Parkcreators come up with, but many will likely be hoping it is another game in the vein ofThe Stick of TruthandFractured But Whole. But at the very least, it doesn’t seem there will be any shortage ofSouth Parkshows, movies, and contentfor the next few years.

South Park: The Fractured But Wholeis available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
