New gameplay and screenshots forSpider-Man: Miles Moraleshave been revealed, nearly a month away from release, showing off the PlayStation 5 ’s capabilitieswith sharp graphics and ray-tracing as Miles swings around the city. The trailer released alongside the screenshots reveals a few alternate costumes for Miles Morales — one of which has a 90s Easter egg.

The2018Marvel’s Spider-Manfeatured a ton of alternate suits, and it appears thatSpider-Man: Miles Moraleswill follow a similar blueprint. Two alternate Miles Morales suits can be seen in the screenshots released, with one resembling Miles Morales' latest digitally-advanced suit, featured on the Miles Morales: Spider-Man #13 comic book cover.

The suit features an LED dot light helmet that displays the Spider-Man mask digitally, and somewhat resembles the mask the Arkham Knight wore inBatman: Arkham Knight. The suit also features glowing gloves and an alternateSpider-Manlogo on the back, and fans have also noticed an “S” patch on his sleeve that resembles a logo made famous in the 90s.

The “S” on Miles' sleeve looks like the “Stussy S” often seen drawn by children in school. The “S” is drawn using a simple method of connecting six lines, and started as a trendy doodle that evolved into z popular letter drawing. Although the origin of the “Stussy S” is debated, it has been seen drawn in books and works of art as far back as 1890, according to research done by Youtuber David Wangstedt. Wangstedt was able to find a drawing of the “S” in the “Mechanical Graphics” book published in 1890. The design could have been first drawn over 100 years ago, was made famous decades ago, and is now an Easter egg inSpider-Man: Miles Morales.

If Miles Morales' suits function like the originalSpider-Mantitle, they may have special abilities. This alternate suit appears technologically advanced with the LED helmet and gloves that look like they are designed for Miles' bio-electric shock. In agameplay demoreleased last month, Miles can be seen engaged in combat using his bio-electric shock, invisibility, web-shooting, and his Spider-Sense, so it will be interesting to see if any of the suits affect his abilities.

Recently, one ofMiles Morales' suits fromSpider-Man: Into the Spiderversewas confirmed from in-game footage. With the reveal of two more alternate suits, it seems fans will have plenty to choose from. The suits shown off so far look extremely detailed on PS5, and more may be revealed before the game’s release.
