The game actually released on May 9, but as more highly complimentary reviews for it have been published, it’s been getting more attention. User reviews for the game have been just as positive, with the game currently enjoying a “Very Positive” overall rating on Steam with over 300 reviews counted so far. As more reviews for1000xRESISTare counted, it’s possible that its review scores will fluctuate, but it’s unlikely to stray very far from 88 and “Very Positive.”
1000xRESISTflew under the radar for many, which is why its high review scores have taken people by surprise. For those who may be unfamiliar with the game, talking too much about1000xRESIST’s plot will somewhat ruin the experience, but the game is a sci-fi adventure set 1000 years in the future after an alien species has invaded and successfully occupied Earth. The developers citeNieR: Automata,Perfect Blue,A Silent Voice, andEinstein on the Beachas inspirations. It blends elements of adventure games,visual novels, and walking simulators while telling a unique story that, according to the developers, is told in ways that only a video game can pull off.
Highest-Rated Switch Games of 2024 So Far
Based on the reviews,1000xRESISTis yetanother must-play Switch console exclusive game. It should be noted that the game is also available on PC through various storefronts, so PC gamers can check it out as well. Potential release dates for other consoles, like PlayStation and Xbox, have not been announced at the time of this writing. However, if1000xRESISTbecomes big enough on Switch and PC, one has to imagine that ports to other platforms will at least be considered.
Nintendo Switch OLED Family Gaming Console
The Nintendo Switch OLED comes with several upgrades over the original Nintendo Switch console while maintaining game compatibility with the old console. With a larger 7-inch OLED screen and double the internal storage of the original Nintendo Switch, it doesn’t feel like a new console altogether. That being said, it is an option worth checking out for a better display.
