While one hasn’t been officially confirmed yet however, Pyoro has been leaking what games will supposedly will be revealed at this presentation. More specifically, this new hint they gave points towards the game being a newMario vs. Donkey Konggame.

A day afterPyoro’s initial September Nintendo Direct hints, they made a set of tweets showing scenes from theSuper Mario Bros.theatrical film from earlier this year. The first hint was a GIF of Donkey Kong rolling around, along with a caption that referred to “who he is fighting,” which was followed by a second tweet underneath. It showed a still of the Mario and Donkey Kong fight scene from the same film. This was the indication that Pyoro was hinting at a newMario vs. Donkey Konggame rather than a new platformer likeDonkey Kong Country.
This tidbit was then clarified further when a reply from Supahsta on Twitter asked if it would contain the minis, which are the collectible toys that originate from the mini subseries. Pyoro then confirmed that it would, which likely means that fans will see another puzzle platformer between the two original Nintendo rivals. TheMario vs. Donkey Kongsubseriesfeatured Donkey Kong as the antagonist, with the plot or playable characters usually revolving around him and the mini Mario toys.
The replies had some fans being underwhelmed at this possibly being the next game to involve theDonkey KongIP.
