Summary
The Yonko are the four most powerful piratesin the world ofOne Piece. These pirates rule the New World like kings and hold enough power as well as influence to oppose even the World Government. While there are only four of these powerful Emperors, there are other pirates who have, throughout their pirate lives, reached similar levels of power without attaining this title.
While some have simply not been interested in attaining this title, others have helped different powerful positions despite holding similar levels of strength. Out of these powerful pirates that can be considered Yonko level, only a few stand out at the top.
5Shiki
Shiki was once a pirate who sailed with the Rocks Crew.After the events of God Valley, he went his own way and established a powerful Armada. Shiki is, without a doubt, one of the strongest pirates to have ever lived in theOne Pieceworld. He was a worthy arrival even for Roger. After getting imprisoned and Impel Down, Shiki devised a plan to free himself.
He escaped from the prison successfully, however, he has not been seen in the pirate world ever since. Shiki was certainly a Yonko level pirate and the fact that he could match up to Roger is proof of that. His whereabouts remain unknown and it is highly unlikely that fans will ever see him inOne Pieceagain.
4Kuzan
Kuzan is a marine turned pirate who is currently a part of the Blackbeard Pirates. As the 10th Ship Captain of the crew, Kuzan is one of the strongest members of this mighty pirate fleet. He formerly served the Marines as an Admiral, which in itself proves that he’s one of the strongest characters in theOne Pieceworld.
He is certainly powerful enough to stand up to a Yonko, and he gave the fans a glimpse of that during the Paramount War Saga. Kuzan is incredibly overpowered, and much of that is thanks to his Hie Hie no Mi as well as his potent Haki. Given that all Marines Admirals have a bounty of Three Crowns placed on them by the Cross Guild, Kuzan should have a bounty of 3 billion berries or more. That in itself is confirmation that Kuzan is a Yonko level pirate.
3Boa Hancock
Hancock is one of the most underrated piratesin theOne Pieceworld. While a lot of people discredit her, the fact is that she possesses a tremendous amount of strength and quite a lot of that can be attributed to her Devil Fruit. This fruit allows her to petrify anyone, be it human or even an inanimate object. Those who have feelings of attraction towards her stand absolutely no chance against her. Even those who have no emotions, such as Pacifistas, can get petrified by this power.
The full scope of this ability is unknown. In fact, even Blackbeard chased after this power. Furthermore, Blackbeard himself clarified that if given the opportunity, Hancock would defeat him and turn him into stone at a moment’s notice. That is precisely why Blackbeard resorted to launching a sneak attack on her and nullify her Devil Fruit powers. Even then, aside from her fruit powers, Hancock has tremendously overpowered Haki. It must be remembered that the Kuja Tribe is a group that excels in Haki usage. Even non-combatants of this tribe can utilize Haki. Among all of them, Hancock has the most defined Haki and she controls all three types. Fans can absolutely expect her to be a user of all the advanced Haki types. Even though her bounty is just 1.659 billion berries, she is certainly a Yonko level pirate.
2Rayleigh
The right arm of the Pirate King, Rayleigh, also known as the Dark King, is certainly a Yonko-level pirate and that much goes without saying. He is a pirate who commands all three types of Haki with great proficiency. Even though he does not have a Devil Fruit, he’s one of the most ferocious figures in theOne Pieceworld.
Garp himself attributed him to a legendary figure and spoke of him in the same breath as a Whitebeard himself. Rayleigh was easily able to hold down Kizaru, despite being very old. In his prime, he would certainly have been on the same level as the Yonko.
1Mihawk
The world’s strongest swordsman, Dracule Mihawkis a member of the Cross Guild and an underling of Buggy. He possesses tremendous might and he is certainly a pirate on the same level as the Emperors of the Sea. Mihawk has a bounty of 3.590 billion berries and that figure speaks for itself.
His sword skills are believed to be greater than even those of Shanks. It goes without saying that Mihawk is a tremendously powerful pirate who can match up to any Emperor of the Sea. Fans have not seen his full strength just yet, however, withOne Piecein its Final Saga, it is only a matter of time before that happens.
