To say thatCyberpunk 2077has had a difficult time since its initial release back in December 2020, would be a massive understatement. When it first launched,Cyberpunk 2077was rife with technical issues that not only broke the composition of the experience but also made the game barely functional on some platforms. To be fair,Cyberpunk 2077has come a long way since then, but there are still some bugs the game hasn’t managed to shake.
In one year,CD Projekt Redhas managed to make enormous strides in improvingCyberpunk 2077’squality of life. Numerous patches and hotfixes have been released that address the core issues that plagued the active gameplay ofCyberpunk 2077. While the game certainly runs much better since the initial launch, as one player recently found out,Cyberpunk 2077isn’t quite free from its technical issues.

Over onReddit, a user by the name of RedGing12 posted a thirty-second video clip where they witness an NPC falling from one of Night City’s skyscrapers, only to stand up as if nothing had happened. Upon further inspection, the player noticed that there was a significant bloodstain where the NPC had landed, but the NPC himself looks perfectly fine.
This might be an extremely hilarious occurrence for some, but it ultimately highlights a problem thatCyberpunk 2077has always had and, evidently, still has. The ultimate goal ofCyberpunk 2077is to makeNight City and other surrounding areas feel aliveand vivid, but it’s almost impossible to cultivate that sense of immersion when NPCs are falling off of buildings, only to come out of the situation unscathed.
In fairness, there are plenty of AAA games that possess immersion-breaking bugs. Even longstanding games likeSkyrimstill have bugs and glitches, in spite of the fact that the game has been out since 2010. Although, the difference is thatSkyrimhas been available long enough to have those imperfections feel a part of the experience for some players, whereas withCyberpunk 2077, nobody had expected the game to have this many bugs when it first launched.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds forCyberpunk 2077going forward. There’s stillfree DLC forCyberpunk 2077that has yet to be released. Though, that could take some additional time, given the sheer volume of ongoing technical issues thatCyberpunk 2077still possesses on all platforms.
Cyberpunk 2077is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
