Announced by the officialOverwatchTwitter page, a new Control map called SAMOA will make its debut on October 1 during the Overwatch League Grand Finals. This gives theOverwatch 2communitya chance to see the battleground firsthand, getting a chance to view the layout of the map early. The last time the hero shooter saw an addition to Control was with Antarctic Peninsula back in February 2023.

SAMOA appears to be a tropical location filled with several palm trees and is surrounded by a large body of water. The map itself gives off a Samoan vibe, which fans are speculating as being home to therumoredOverwatch 2Tank hero Mauga. While nothing has been officially announced by Blizzard, fans are anticipating his inclusion to the roster next season. For now, theOverwatch 2community will just have to wait for October 1 to learn more about SAMOA.

Overwatch 2Season 7 was potentially leaked, but with this new information from Blizzard, it appears to be more believable. Also listed in the leak was the inclusion of new skins for Widowmaker, Hanzo, and Echo. The skins themselves have a theme based on Halloween, which is around the same time the new season will be released. One of the bigger parts of the leak is that it suggests aDiablo 4crossover is in the future as it shows Lilith in the picture.

It appears that Blizzard is planning to slowly lift off the veil for Season 7regarding newOverwatch 2skins, maps, hero reworks, and more. The closer the community gets to the release of Season 7, the more content Blizzard may potentially share with everyone.

Overwatch 2is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
