Summary
There are a lot of Pals to be found inPalworld, 137 of them to be precise (not includingthe designs found in the game’s files). And, among all those Pals, there are quite a few of them that areleaps and bounds biggerthan the player character.
In fact, some Pals absolutely tower over players, so much so that riding these Pals as a Mount can make it hard to see. Thankfully, some dedicated fans of the game have taken a look at all the Pal models and done the math, so let’s take a look at the 10 biggest Pals inPalworld.
This list doesn’t include Alpha Pals, Lucky Variants of Pals, or Pals that are caught as Dungeon Bosses. It also, of course, doesn’t includethe Tower Masters that previously could be captured as well, due to a bug.
10Azurobe
25.9ft in Length
First up AKA the ‘smallest’ Pal on this list isAzurobe, otherwise known as the ‘Lady of the Lake’. Azurobe is a Water/Dragon type Pal that can both be found in the wild (on Wildlife Sanctuary 01) or as an Alpha Pal (just north of the Ravine Entrance Fast Travel Point).
Azurobe isa pretty useful Pal overall in both work and combat. When assigned to a base, Azurobe is one of the best Watering Pals in the game, and when brought into combat Azurobe can infuse the player’s attacks with Water Damage and use naturally learned Skills such as Hydro Laser, Dragon Burst, or even Dragon Meteor.
9Broncherry & Broncherry Aqua
Both 14.4ft in Height
Next up isBroncherry(and Broncherry Aqua) an Apatosaurus-like Pal. This Pal, known as the ‘Winds of Spring’ is a pure Grass Pal that be found anywhere in the grassy regions around the lower center section of the map. Broncherry’s Alpha variant can also be found around this area, on the eastern side of the Sea Breeze Archipelago.
Not only that, butBroncherry Aqua(who is a Grass/Water type) has an Alpha variant fight also found in this general area, directly east of the Sealed Realm of the Swordmaster Fast Travel Point. Broncherry is also a ridable mount and, like Azurobe, is great when assigned to a base due to its high Work Suitability in one particular skill (Planting).
8Relaxaurus
14.4ft in Height
Moving on to the big ‘doofy’ dinosaur ofPalworld, it’sRelaxaurus. This Pal, despite looking oh-so-silly, has one of the latest Pal Gear unlocks in the game, with its Missile Launcher not being available to craft until the last 10 levels players can reach.
This ‘Gluttonous Dragon’ is the 85th Pal marked in the Paldeck and is a Dragon/Water typethat’s pretty versatile overall. It’s great to farm for drops as it can drop either High Quality Pal Oil or a Ruby, it’s great when assigned to a base since it has Watering 2 and Transporting 1, and it’s very useful in combat. And yes, while Relaxaurus does have an Elemental Variant like Broncherry, it’s not included in this entry for a reason.
7Mammorest & Mammorest Cryst
Both 14.8ft in Height
Now it’s time to talk aboutMammorest, one of the first high-level Pals that a large majority of thePalworldplayer base encountered first. This Pal can be found right near the Windswept Hill Plataus of Beginnings, the area the game basically ‘tells’ the player is meant to be the tutorial area. It can be very intimidating to see Mammorest here, as everything else in this area is between level 1 to 5 while Mammorest (especially the Alpha variant found just down the road) is in its 30s.
Mammorest is known as the ‘King of the Forest’ and with its size and general temperament, it’s clear why. Like Relaxaurus, this Pal is great for farming drops from (HQ Pal Oil, Leather, & Mammorest Meat), it’s good as a combat Pal, and it’s a great Mount. Its Ice-variant,Mammorest Crystis basically the same, though this variant is typically found by players much later on in the game when they’re exploring the Astral Mountains.
6Suzaku & Suzaku Aqua
Both 15.7ft in Height
Suzakuis next, which of course meansSuzaku Aquais also included. Many of the Pals with Cryst or Noct Elemental Variants sadly amount to little more than recolors, and their sizes are almost always the exact same. Suzaku may not look that big since it’s always flying high up in the air, but this thing is massively wide with its wings spread. As a pure Fire-type Pal, Suzaku seems to be pretty temperamental, as it very rarely just lets Tamers pass by without attacking them.
It’s known as the ‘Ruler of the Crimson Dawn’ though, so of course it would viciously protect what it deems to be its territory. Meanwhile, its Elemental Variant, Suzaku Aqua, is one of the few rare Pals inPalworldthat isn’t naturally found in the Palapagos Islands and is instead only available through eggs (either found eggs orones obtained through a Breeding Farm).
5Menasting
29.9ft in Length
Coming up now is one of the ‘scarier’ Pals inPalworld,Menasting. Well, scary for those who are terrified at the idea of a giant scorpion, of course. In any case Menasting or the ‘Unstoppable Stinger’ is a Dark/Ground type Pal that is only found naturally as an Alpha Variant in the southeastern region of the desert island and on the 2nd Wildlife Sanctuary on the far western side of the map.
Menasting, who is the 99th Pal in the Paldeck, is not a ridable Pal like most of the other inclusions on this list, but it does give a passive Defense boost to players when it’s in their party. Outside of that, it’s not worth really farming Menasting due to it only dropping Coal or a Venom Gland, and at a base it’s helpful in both Mining and Lumbering but not much else.
4Blazehowl & Blazehowl Noct
Both 33.5ft in Length
And now it’s right back to the Pals with Elemental Variants, this timeBlazehowlandBlazehowl Noct. As a Pal with a bright mane of fire, Blazehowl the ‘Crimson Goliath’ is found in the Volcanic region of the islands (around Mt. Obisidian to be precise) while its Noct variant can be seen in those same areas but only at night.
Both creatures made it on here due to their respectable height but absurd body length, which only makes it more imposing to ride on them as a Mount. This is another Pal that’s not worth farming for materials, as it only drops Flame Organs, though it does have more use in a base considering it has a Kindling Suitability of 3.
3Astegon
15.7ft in Height
Winning the title for the most ‘terrifying’ design on this list,Astegonwinds up in third as its gigantic body and huge wing span make it very hard to miss this Pal. This Dragon/Dark type monstrosity, known as the ‘Ravager of Stars’, doesn’t even really get a Paldeck entry, as the description of it in the Paldeck most boils down to poetry about one shalt not stand before it.
In any case, Astegon drops both Pure Quartz and Pal Metal Ingots, so it could be argued it’s worth farming, but the spawn rates of this Pal on the 3rd Wildlife Sanctuary seem so low it’s probably not worth the time investment. Astegon is essentially this game’s version of a ‘pseudo-legendary’, and it’s one of the last flying Mounts inPalworldthat players will unlock, as they won’t be able to craft its saddle until level 47.
2Relaxaurus Lux
17.7ft in Height
Now moving on to second place, it’s an entry no one probably expected, that beRelaxaurus Lux. While the default Relaxaurus is 8th on this list, its Elemental Variant just seems to be much bigger by default and that very punk-like electric mohawk on its head gives it even more of a height advantage. Called the ‘Gluttonous Thunder Dragon’, Relaxaurus Lux apparently (according to the Paldeck) came into being after just having the idea that it should make a change, which is just such a funny concept for a Pal that looks like it has no thoughts going on in its head ever.
In any case, Relaxaurus Lux drops Sapphires instead of Rubies, and can also drop Electric Organs alongside High-Quality Pal Oil. At a base, this thing is one of the best Pals for keeping the lights on in the game, as it has a 3 in Generating Electricity.
1Jormuntide & Jormuntide Ignis
Both 60.7ft in Length
And for the final Pal on here in first place, it’s surprisingly not a Legendary Pal. In fact, none of the Legendary Pals even got a spot on this list, which is very shocking. Regardless, first place is bothJormuntideand its Fire-variantJormuntide Ignis. This ‘Emperor of the Sea’ is a Dragon/Water type and is very reminiscent of another watery dragon from a video game that’s inspired by the iconic Eastern Dragon designs.
Jormuntides in their default size are really onlyever obtained through Breeding, as to obtain them in the first place players will need to catch either the default or Ignis Alpha Variants on the map. And, once they do have both versions of this creature, they can choose to either ride it across the seas, bring it into battle, or assign it to a base to be their best Watering Can (or Kindler in Jormuntide Ignis' case).
