Path of Exilehas no shortage of options in these areas. Players can equip a plethora of axes and maces. They’re all viable in some respect, but some still stand above others. The best examples not only inflict baseline damage but leave a lasting impact through elemental magic or wounding. The weapons that accomplish those feats will be the best friends of any Marauder.
7Debeon’s Dirge
This is a unique Despot Axe that deals 108 to 146 physical damage. That may not sound like much, but the weapon’s true strength lies inits elemental capability. It deals between 310 and 500 points of cold damage. That’s more than enough to freeze anyone in their tracks.
A Warcry makes Debeon’s Dirge even more viable. Activating this move boosts the weapon’s speed by 15% and its elemental damage by 150%. Warcries also stagger enemies in the immediate area. In essence, it powers up the player while rendering foes inert and open to attack, providing a great way of turning a battle around.
6Brain Rattler
The Meatgrinder Mace belongs to the Guardian of the Minotaur, and it makes him a force to be reckoned with. Not only does it inflict 160 to 549 normal damage, but it comes with a 5% chance of doubling that output. However, this is far from the only avenue of amplifying.

The Brain Rattler has additional potential for elemental sabotage. Its perks come with 60 to 320 physical damage, and 50% of that converts to lightning damage, perfect for the Witch Class. This gives the mace a 50% chance to shock, possibly dealing 300% more damage in the process. The shocks also reduce the target’s casting speed and movement by 20 to 30%. In short, the Brain Rattler is a supersized taser.
5Tidebreaker
The Tidebreaker is a unique Imperial Maul. It deals 206 to 633 damage, with anywhere from 70 to 375 being in the physical category. Endurance charges tack on another 10%, ensuring the maul hits hard with every swing.
These swings have a good chance of stunning foes, reducing their stagger threshold by 20 to 30%. Foes aren’t the only ones affected, though. The weapon also improves the user. It offers a 10% increase in strength and 40 additional intelligence points. How an object boosts brainpower is anyone’s guess, butwielders likely won’t complain.
4Replica Kongor’s Undying Rage
This unique Terror Maul is a copy of Konger’s Undying Rage. As such, it mimics many stats. Examples include the 172-644 damage range and the 43-400 physical points. These are guaranteed since the mace’s hits can’t be dodged. Plus, it comes with a 30 to 40% chance for critical strikes and a 25% chance to Double Time when enemies are stunned. These qualities are all present in both versions of the mace.
The critical strike effects are where the difference lies, andutilizing the best skills inPath of Exilewill grant bonus strike effects. While they don’t deal extra damage, they do regenerate 20% of the player’s energy shield. The original model only grants Onslaught for 4 seconds. Though these are both useful, the replica tends to be the better option for those who want to play it safe. After all, a strong tool is of no use to someone dead.
3Uul-Netol’s Embrace
With this unique Vaal Axe, the word “embrace” couldn’t be further from the truth. The weapon inflicts a whopping 416 damage at minimum and 765 at maximum. With that comes a healthy boost in physical damage: between 280 and 320%. As good as that sounds, it’s just the beginning.

Uul-Netol’s axe doles outlasting effects and then exploits them with deadly results. Strikes have a 25% chance to maim targets. This may be difficult with the weapon’s slower movement, but there’s a bright side. If attacks have a greater slowdown than 30%, then they also have a 25% chance to bleed foes who are cursed. Subsequent hits on those bleeding enemies trigger a Level 20 Bone Nova. That’s a lot of conditions to keep track of, but they make the status effects all the more satisfying when they land, trulytesting the player’s patience with this great battle system. Not to mention, the axe’s other stats are plenty enough to compensate.
2Kitava’s Feast
A unique Void Axe, Kitava’s Feast has a relatively modest damage output: between 207 and 518. Its stat perks can increase physical damage by 200%. That said, the real use comes with what that damage can do for the player.
This unholy weapon hasseveral leeching abilities. It takes the damage dealt and uses it to rejuvenate the wielder. 1% goes to life while another 1% turns to mana. Each kill refills a further 5% of life. For the cherry on top, the axe destroys any enemies it kills. It recycles vanquished foes. Why let all that health go to waste?
1Atziri’s Disfavour
This is a unique Vaal Axe. Wielders can inflict a respectable 370 to 532 normal damage; physical damage ranges from 205 to 270. It’s not the highest of the unique weapons, but it hits hard. On top of that hefty power, Atziri’s Disfavour is likely to leave a scar or two.
Successful strikes have a 25% chance to maim and another 25% chance to cause bleeding. Ordinarily, such status ailments are tough to inflict. The weapon’s other perks make that easier. It boosts attack speed by 12 to 16%. Users can also expect 2 points to their range and the level of any socketed gems. This way, anoverpoweredPath of Exilebuildwill ensure no enemies remain standing.
