Despite its cozy platformer atmosphere,Penny’s Big Breakawayintroduces intense gameplay moments during its boss fights. The game features a total of eight boss encounters, eachrevealing a different aspect of the lore. Penguin Ball
InPenny’s Big Breakaway, the first boss is the Penguin Ball, a wrecking ball made up of penguins. Unlike the other bosses, there is no way to defeat the Penguin Ball; you must navigate the level while evading it.
Sheila
Sheila is the boss of the Second World. To defeat her, you mustdodge her hammer attacks and strike it back when it becomes lodged. This action stuns Sheila, providing an opportunity to fasten the bolts on her boat. Repeat this process three times to defeat her for good.
Mr. Q
Mr. Q has three attacks: Smash, Slide, and Throwable. You mustevade the first two attacks and rebound the third. Whenever Mr. Q launches a shimmering ball, strike it back with your Yo-Yo to stun him. Subsequently,engage in the pool mini-game: Aim to shoot the balls into the six holes on the board while evading the lasers.
Eddie (First Encounter)
The first time you face Eddie, he shows up as a sumo fighter. To beat him, dodge his lunges and land behind his back. Then,pull on the lever on his beltto shoot him into the water three times.
Taboo
The Taboo boss fight is more of a race. She will generate a clone of you called Puppet Penny. Your objective is tooutpace this puppet in a parkour race by collecting more coinsthan her.
Giant Penguin
To defeat the robot penguin, who utilizes moving platforms to displace you, you muststrike the buttons located on the edges of the platforms. This action causes a magnet to drop. Grab the magnet and leap high enough to reach the robot’s chest, then strike him with it. Repeat this process three times to defeat the Giant Penguin.
Judge Rufus
Judge Rufus is an end-game boss fight. To beat him, you must first navigate the floating books to reach his gavel. Once obtained,use the gavel to shatter the wights holding the chains. Repeat this process until all chains are broken and Judge Rufus is defeated.
Eddie the Emperor
In thefinal boss fight, you must once again confront Eddie. This time, Taboo will provide unlimited access to the Burger Buff, significantly enhancing your strength. Simplystrike Eddie with the Burger Yo-Yo multiple timesto initiate the final scene. After defeating him, ride the flock of penguins to ascend to the top of the Emperor’s statue and loosen the screw positioned there. This action concludes the game and brings the story to an end.
