In a minute-long video, they shared the week-long process of 3D printing Mew’s head and body, attaching the pink fur, and putting all the elements together. The final result showed the Mew doll attached to a tree branch to showcase its tail’s functionality. The Reddit user also uploaded the step-by-step process on their YouTube channel for those who want to create their own Mew doll.
ManyPokemonfans in the comments praised umbratundra’s creation and skill, and also expressed interest in purchasing the Mew doll if it was for sale. While the artist said they weren’t doing commissions for dolls like these, interested buyers could bid for the Mew doll at a starting price of $1,200. Some fans also requested for other realistic Pokemon dolls to be made, which umbratundra said could be possible and that they might make Raichu next.
