Game Freak and Nintendo releasedPokemon Legends: Arceuslast month and fans continue filling their Pokedex, discovering hidden details, and witnessing hilarious encounters in the open-world areas. Garnering the attention of thePokemon Legends: Arceuscommunity, one player has captured a clip of an Alpha Ursaring obliterating a wild Burmy with Hyper Beam.
Reddit user TrainerGlitch recently posted a video with a Marvel-inspired caption that shows them throwing a Pokeball at a green shiny Urasaring to face-off against a wild level 17 Burmy. Turning thePokemon Legends: Arceuscamera to face behind their shiny Ursaring called Grumpy, TrainerGlitch unveils a large Alpha Ursaring looming in proximity which absolutely dwarfs the Burmy. The summoning of TrainerGlitch’s Ursaring catches the attention of the Alpha Pokemon, which looks in Burmy’s direction with intense red eyes before storing power for its Hyper Beam.

As the Alpha Ursaringis filled with wild might before unleashing a devastating Hyper Beam, TrainerGlitch’s shiny Ursaring turned around to face the intimidating Pokemon and the wild Burmy began fleeing in the opposite direction. Being unable to react in time, the shiny Ursaring and Burmy are both obliterated by the charged attack, with the Hyper Beam reaching through Grumpy to defeat the retreating Burmy as well. TrainerGlitch’s video concludes with the highlycustomizedPokemontrainerrunning away from the carnage to avoid blacking out themselves.
The Hyper Beam seemingly defeated the level 30 shiny Ursaring as easily as the wild Burmy, so TrainerGlitch may have to level their party up to battle or capture the Alpha Ursaring. Although Alpha Pokemon can be caught just like standard Pokemon inPokemon Legends: Arceus, TrainerGlitch was noticeably more interested in battling the Burmy before being seen by the Alpha Ursaring. Alpha Pokemon are scattered all overPokemon Legends: Arceus, with otherAlpha’s including Garchomp, Gyarados, and Snorlax.
The Alpha Ursaring featured in TrainerGlitch’sPokemon Legends: Arceusvideo can be found in the Gapejaw Bog, while there’s another one located in the Crimson Mirelands. Unlike TrainerGlitch’s green Ursaring, the wild Burmy isn’t a shiny Pokemon which may suggest that thePokemon Legends: Arceusfan was trying to capture it in order to complete a quest or level up their Pokedex. Shiny encounters inPokemon Legends: Arceusare limited to 1/4096 before players can get theShiny Charmwhich improves the odds to 1/819 or better if a Pokemon’s entry is a perfect 10.
Pokemon Legends: Arceusis available now for Nintendo Switch.
