After The Pokemon Company released a new trailer forPokemon Scarlet and Violetlast week, on October 6, a new video about Gen 9 games has now been announced for tomorrow, at 6 am PDT.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetfans had been dealing with a news drought that lasted for months, but this trend is rapidly being inverted this week with the third trailer in a row since theWiglett reveal.

The latest trailer to date was a 14-minute-long video where the various stories in the Paldea region were recapitulated and expanded upon, providing players with better insight into what to expect from each of them. This was also when Farigiraf, Girafarig’s new evolution, was revealed, hyping up many long-standingtheories aboutPokemon Scarlet and Violetand the various leaks that talked about Gen 2 Pokemon getting cross-gen evolutions.

With a tweet from the officialPokemonaccount, a trailer for tomorrow - October 12 - was confirmed forPokemon Scarlet and Violet, and it’s likely it will be a short livestream that’s later added to the official YouTube channel. It has been confirmed that the trailer will be about one of the remainingPaldean Gym Leaders, and this time it seems to be the Electric-type specialist that was leaked by trustworthy sources a few months ago. The video will seemingly be held as if it was the Gym Leader, seemingly called Iono, streaming to their audience.

In fact, a reliable leaker known as Riddler Khu revealed months ago that each of the Gym Leaders inPokemon Scarlet and Violetwill have a profession that’s part of their personality or storyline, and Iono’s could be livestreaming. The Twitter account for Pokemon Singapore was the first to name the Gym Leader Iono and talk about their stream being one of Iono’s shows, called “Iono Zone.” This video could showcase the Electric-type Gym challenge as well as the Gym Leader’s team composition - or at the very least their ace Pokemon.

With several new Electric Pokemon allegedly coming with Gen 9, there are many possibilities. As far as Electric pocket monsters go,Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s leaked Pokedexincludes Pawmi and its evolutions, a seagull Pokemon that’s Electric/Flying and acts as the regional bird species, and finally an Electric/Psychic frog. Tomorrow’s trailer could very likely go into more detail about any of these evolution lines, with the seagull and the frog being the most probable of the bunch due to Pawmi being one of the Pokemon used by the rival Nemona.

Given that, historically, rivals inPokemongames tend to have teams made of Pokemon that are more rarely used by other trainers when fully evolved, Pawmi is the least likely to be Iono’s ace and instead be on Nemona’s team all the way through. Still, it will be interesting to see what elsePokemon Scarlet and Violethave in store for fans of the franchise, especially considering thatFarigiraf and its Abilitieshave already been a hot point of discussion and excitement within the community for the past week.

Pokemon Scarlet andVioletlaunch on November 18 for Nintendo Switch.
