The last couple of weeks have seen a number ofPokemon Scarlet and Violetleaks surface online, although how many of them prove to be accurate remains to be seen. Many of them came from unreliable sources, while others do have some proven track record behind them. One of the seemingly reliable leaks included details onFuecoco’s middle and final forms inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.

In terms of types, Fuecoco seems destined to end up a Fire/Ghost-type Pokemon. Leaks suggest one identifying element of its design is a bird, interestingly enough. Fuecoco is a fire crocodile Pokemon, but it is said that in its second form, an egg made of fire will rest on its head. Its final form will see that egg “hatch” with a flaming bird resting on Fuecoco’s head inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Redditor PaleAd6109 took these rumors and design a middle form evolution forFuecoco. As seen below, it seems the user imagines Fuecoco growing bigger and sleeping a lot, with the flaming egg resting on top of its head. PaleAd6109 names this Pokemon Incugator, combining the words incubation and alligator. This phase represents a type of hibernation for the evolution line, following Fuecoco’s constant hunger. If someone attempts to touch the egg, PaleAd mentions of their design, it will be protective and attack enemies with searing hot drool.

Indeed, it’s ultimately a bigger, sleeping Fuecoco with a flaming egg on its head, which is simple enough that it could get close. However, it’s hard to imagine how this will then go to aFire/Ghost type with a fire bird around the final evolution.

Fans may be curious about these design leaks for Fuecoco, but it’s worth mentioning that it makes sense. The veracity of the design rumor is up in the air, but it goes back to the relationship between the Egyptian Plover and a crocodile. These birds often rest on Crocodile heads, sometimes in their mouths, and it’s an interesting design for thisPokemon Scarlet and Violetstarter.

It could be thatFuecoco’s final evolution also takes from an ancient god named Morrop, a crocodile-like being that is connected to the realm of the dead. This would explain Fuecoco’s final fire/ghost-typing if nothing else. However, until Game Freak confirms anything, seemingly any day now given how long ago the last trailer was, fans should take this information with a grain of salt.
