Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Indigo Disk DLChas brought back one of the fan-favorite Pokemon from Sword and Shield, Kubfu, and its evolution, Urshifu. The fighting-type Pokemon was thecenterpiece of theIsle of Armor DLC, and it has also gained popularity in PvP mode as well.
Just like some of the previous games, a number of Pokemon in theIndigo Disk DLChave unique evolution methods. When it comes to legendaries, the developers have added a new twist to catching them, and they can only be obtained much later in the game.
How To Get Kubfu In Indigo Disk DLC
As with the other legendaries, to get Kubfu in theIndigo Disk DLCplayers will need to first complete the main campaign of the DLC. Once that’s done, players need tocomplete as many Blueberry Quests as they can. Snacksworth will give the players a treat for every 10 BBQs they complete, and eventually, players will get the Kubfu treat. After getting that, players willneed to head to the Fury Falls in North Province Area Two, and they will find Kubfu waiting for them right there.
This is one of the trickiest battles in the game because Kubfu is only Level 30, making it extremely easy for players to knock it out. It is recommended that players save the game before trying to catch it and aim to put the Pokemon to sleep. This should improve the catch rate and make catching it much easier.
How To Evolve Kubfu To Rapid & Single Strike Urshifu
Players who have played theIsle of Armor DLCmight be well aware that Kubfu can be evolvedinto two different forms of Urshifu, namely Rapid-Strike Style and Single-Strike Style. The former is Fighting and Water-type, while the latter is Fighting and Dark-type. Rapid-Strike Style is the more popular one in the community as far as the current meta is concerned, so players who are confused between the two should opt for that.
To evolve Kubfu to Rapid-Strike Urshifu (Water/Fighting-type), players will need the Scroll of Waters while the Single-Strike variant (Dark/Fighting-type) will require Scroll of Darkness. The only catch is that the way to get these scrolls is quite unpredictable, as they are randomlyavailable at the auction at Porto Marinada. Players have reported that having Kubfu in their team improves their chances of getting the scrolls in the auction. It might take a while, but eventually, players should get the option to buy it at the auction, and it is crucial to have enough money at their disposal to grab it when it does go up for sale.
