PowerWash Simulatorfans are about to clean one of the most iconic homes in video game history. The popular indie game by UK-based FuturLab charmed players upon release last year, giving them the chance to unwind and deep clean various filthy objects and places to their heart’s content. While the base game allows fans to clean everything from patios to playgrounds, upcoming free DLC will task players withcleaningTomb Raiderprotagonist Lara Croft’s manor. The crossover content shouldn’t stop there - in fact, there’s ample potential for futurePowerWash SimulatorandTomb Raidercrossover content.
This DLC is likely a result ofPowerWash Simulatorbeing published by Square Enix, although the company sold off theTomb RaiderIP to Embracer Group last year. While there are few details out about futureTomb Raiderprojects, fans might be eager for new Lara Croft content in other games, especially with crossovers as wacky and fun as this one. This DLC not only sets up future Lara Croft-centricPowerWash Simulatorcontent, but could also point to an openness for theTomb RaiderIP to be used in more fun ways going forward.

Tomb Raider: PowerWasher Simulator Addition
The upcomingPowerWasher SimulatorDLC allows players to deep clean Croft Manor, a fixture across the entireTomb Raiderfranchise. The manor initially belonged to Croft’s father and contains a bevy of family secrets and hidden treasure. InRise of the Tomb Raider, fans couldexplore Croft Manor in the Blood Ties DLC, which has Lara uncovering the secrets her father left behind in the “tomb-like” home. InShadow of the Tomb Raider, players meet Lara as a young girl, investigating Croft Manor and discovering mementos from her mother.
ThePowerWasher SimulatorDLC may allow players to explore those same secret rooms and hidden passages as they clean the manor and Lara’s iconic vehicles. It would also be fun for players to receive a letter or phone call from the relic hunter explaining her latest expedition and why her home is covered in muck. It seems the player will be exploring Croft Manor without Lara, alluding to the idea that she has been too busy dodging Trinity soldiers or Deathless Ones to clean her kitchen. Hopefully, the extra content will also includeTomb RaiderEaster eggs for the player to wash.
How Tomb Raider Could Incorporate PowerWasher Simulator in the Future
The recurring question regarding video game crossovers likeDead By DaylightandResident Evilis how future content might be created. The wackiness ofPowerWasher Simulatorcould bring some fun to the darker side of Lara Croft’s story, creating an iconic series of DLC. For instance, if the Power Washer does a satisfactory job, they could be invited on Lara’s next journey. They might also find themselves cleaning a relic that leads them on a newTomb Raidermystery. There could even be a storyline related to some mythical “power washing” entity contained in a relic.
In fact,PowerWasher Simulatorcould add future DLC that allows players to exploreCroft Manor as seen in previous games likeTomb Raider 3,learning how to be a legendary treasure hunter by cruising the racetrack, using the shooting range to practice power washing accuracy, and attempting the manor’s iconic obstacle course. With it being almost two decades since Crystal Dynamics has taken over the development of theTomb Raiderfranchise, there is certainly a lot of content to explore and wash at players' fingertips.
PowerWash Simulatoris currently available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a PS4, PS5, and Switch release coming on January 31.
