Robust support forRainbow Six Siegecontinues from Ubisoft, with the competitive multiplayer shooter’s Year 6 continuing to deliver season by season. Season 01 of Year 6 has already delivered the newRainbow Six Siegeoperator Flores, as well as other exciting content. YetRainbow Six Siegeplayers are always looking forward to what comes next. Luckily, it seems that a new leak may have revealed some of what’s coming in Season 02.
To start,Rainbow Six Siegedataminer @benjaminstrike is back with a leak regarding the name of next season’s operation. If Benjamin is to be believed, Season 02 of Year 6 will be named Operation North Star. That’s in part a reference to the location from which thenext operatorwill be from. As revealed in the Year 6 roadmap, Season 02’s new operator will be coming from the Nakoda, an Indigenous people in Western Canada.

Speaking of the new operator, that’s one subject where relatively no information has been leaked. The community is sure that the new Nakoda operator will be a Defender, but beyond that details are scant. There’s also speculation regarding another operator rework coming in Season 02 of Year 6, but there’s no official word on that possibility yet, either.Rainbow Six Siegeplayerswill just have to wait for Ubisoft to get around to an official announcement for more information.
As forRainbow Six Siege’s next map rework, there’s no leak necessary. TheYear 6 roadmapreveals that the Season 02 map rework will be for Favela. Favela is a simple map set in Brazil that some believe is too messy to be properly competitive. The community’s hope is that Favela will be reworked for more high-level competition, but considering how much work is likely going to be done to the map it’s hard to predict what the final product will be.
One other interesting leak coming from Benjamin is thatSmoke’s Remote Gas Grenadewill be changed so that it doesn’t leak through walls, floors, and ceilings. Benjamin notes that this change will likely go live when it’s ready, so it could arrive during either Season 01 or Season 02 of Year 06.
All this and more is coming just within the next several months, asRainbow Six Siegeeventually shifts to Season 02. That’s obviously just the first half ofUbisoft’s plansfor Year 6, though, as the roadmap confirms that Ubisoft has plans for both Season 03 and Season 04 already. Post-launch support forRainbow Six Siegewon’t be ending any time soon.
Rainbow Six Siegeis available now on OC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
