Chapter 4 Point of No Return

Upon defeatingEl Gigante in Chapter 4, Leon will be required to head to the Church to progress the story.The way back will then become blocked, preventing him from returning to The Lake.

Chapter 5 Point of No Return

Towardthe climax of Chapter 5, Leon will need to cross a bridge leading to a dilapidated house, in which he will need to fend off a large group of enemies. If players have not yet explored everywhere in The Village, they should postponecrossing this bridge, as doing so will prevent them from backtracking to previous areas.

Chapter 12 Point of No Return

DuringChapter 12, Leon will be required to ascend to the top of The Clocktower onthe elevator. If players activate this elevator, they will no longer be able to return to the previous part of The Castle.

After ascending the lift and progressing a little further, the player will meetthe Merchant. Proceeding throughthe giant doors further down the pathleads to a pretty hectic boss fight that, once completed, will force Leon to proceed to The Island. If players have yet to explore what remains of Chapter 12, they should backtrack before opening these doors.

Chapter 16 Point of No Return

Shortly into Chapter 16, Leon will be forced to face the final boss ofResident Evil 4remake. The battle will beginif Leon enters the elevatorlocated just after the Merchant’s shop. If players wish to explore The Island a little more before completing the game, they should steer clear of this elevator.
