TheResident Evil 3remake developers confirm thatResident Evil: Resistancewill have several maps for players to enjoy. Fans have been having fun in theResident Evil: Resistancebeta, but many had asked about whether the full version of the game would bring them something new.

Speaking to Japanese language publication Famitsu,Resident Evil 3producers Masao Kawada and Peter Fabiano confirmed that there would be “multiple” maps. However, it’s unclear how many maps will be able at launch and if the developers are planning on adding more maps after the game has been released. The developers also haven’t said whether players of the remake will have to pay for any DLC or if it will all be offered for free.

The developers also teased the gameplay of the Masterminds.Resident Evil: Resistancehas been developed so that players can “choose a mastermind with a card that suits your strategy,” said Fabiano. A Mastermind like Annette has more cards for the game’screature enemieswhich means that players will also have to know what sort of damage those creatures can do before picking her.

The other playable characters will be part of that strategy gameplay too and the developers joked thatmeme character Martin Sandwichis “unreliable” but is great at dodging traps. The character of Becca is great with firearms and she can use Fever to get “unlimited” ammunition and shooting, which could potentially make her overpowered. Kawada said that “the more powerful the skills, the longer the charging time,” but it seems like the developers may have to do some changes after release to ensure that fans are happy.

The important question to answer is if the game will have DLC or not.Resident Evil: Resistancemay have several playable characters to choose from, multiple enemies and maps, but without a regular release of new gameplay, it may only be popular for a few months after launch.

Resident Evil 3will launch on August 08, 2025 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
