The new arena shooter calledRollerdromehas a lot going for it, borrowing elements from sports games that can’t exist inthe real world, but are fun, likeJet Set Radio.Players will compete in a tournament, split into stages, armed with weapons and inline skates. And are tasked with taking down enemies, while holding them off at the same time. When mixed together, these elements makeRollerdromea high-energy game, where players will want to play it more aggressively.

SinceRollerdromeis a sports game, in the same spirit asTurbo Golf Racing, where if players do jumps, spins, and other tricks, they’ll get rewardedwith a boost.Rollerdromedoes it the same way, but rather than giving out boosts, the tricks and jump system yields ammo.Rollerdromeis a game about momentum, so whatever the player does, they’ll getan ammo refill. However, not everything is equal when it comes to replenishing ammo, some tricks and grinds give out more, and others, not so much. This list will help players dotricks or moves that will give them a high ammo count refill.

5Nail Dodge

This is a great multipurpose move, it gives a ton of benefits to the player. First, which is the most important thing, if players aren’t confident enough to do a trick, they can simply dodge attacks. Doing this will not only give players a good refill of ammo, but it will also help players counter the attack with the reflex time mechanic. On top of that, much likeRoller Championswhere using the wall in the arena gives a goodamount gives momentum, the nail dodge inRollerdromebehaves the same way.

Also, if players do the Nail Dodge correctly, they’ll become really hard to hit, and will be able to replenish their ammo more often this way. As mentioned before, the diversity of this move is shown when players are dodging mines and other things enemies have dropped. However, if players learn the Nail Dodge at the start, things become substantially easier, they can combine this dodge with other moves and in turn, they’ll never run out of ammo. It’s also a great way for players to get out of sticky situations with ease, and learning that sooner than later will pay off.

4Melancholy Front Flip

Probably one of the easier flips to master inRollerdrome, since it just needs players to head full speed at a ramp and fly in the air, twisting and turning in various ways. Since it’s easier to learn, players will find themselves doing this move more often than none. One of the main elements ofRollerdrome, much likeRoller Championsis allabout the momentum. If players can maintain that, the harder stages get easier.

All they’ll need to do is go full charge into a ramp, drive up it, and use the analog stick to move the character around. And if players chain the Melancholy Flip into itself several times, they can get more ammo out of it. On top of that, it’ll launch players really high to air, where they can activate the reflex time. With time slowed down, players can really go in on the enemy, all with the assurance that their ammo will refill. Because as mentioned before, if they can chain this move together, players will get tons of ammo back, provided the flip is done as many times as possible before they hit the ground.

3Box Grind

One of the best things aboutRollerdromeis the level of variety, and how each stageis vastly differentfrom the others. On some levels, certain moves work well, others could be harder to pull off. But one of the main moves that are consistent through all the stages, is the Box Grind. Now, there’s another grind called the Front Slide where it acts the same way, but players will notice how much ammo is given out between the two. Even when chained together, the Box Grind comes on top and gives out a higher score than its counterpart.

The best part is the Box Grind is just as easy to do as the Front Slide, so it would be in the player’s best interest to combine them. On top of that, the Box Grind helps keep momentum, and if players need to get around an enemy, or groups of them, the Box Grind can aid with that. A tip that players should know, is that all theweapons share ammo, so if they switch between the grenade launcher, to the dual pistol, then back to the grenade launcher, the Box Grind can keep things more consistent in how ammo is spread.

2Front Flip

This isn’t a strong move on its own when it comes to having an ammo refill, but it’s one of the best moves to combine with others, and in turn, get high amounts of ammo back with one jump. The reason being is that players will be doing this move quite a bit, so when they add this to a flip like the Melancholy Flip, the amount of ammo to come back will be quite high. As players get throughRollerdrome, they’ll notice if they chain, and repeat moves, before hitting the ground, the ammo comes back at an inconsistent rate.

However, the Front Flip can combat that, if they chain this move with itself or with others, ammo won’t be an issue. The Front Flip is great to top off the score of a jump, but it also maintains the momentum on the downward part, which allows players to get even higher air when they go for another jump, provided they’re not stopped.

1Safety Grab

This move is rather important for many reasons, first, it makes the players smaller, making them harder to hit, second it helps them cross large spaces with ease because of its speed. On its own, the Safety Grab is quite useful, since players can chain this often to get ammo back. Then can use other moves, like grinds to roll into it, allowing players to increase how much ammo they get back. This move may not be used as often as others, becauseRolledromeis better when they get height over the enemies, allowing players to play with more confidence.

However, even though this move doesn’t give players the height, it helps them keep that momentum while going into another move. IfRollerdromehad melee weapons, players would be able to follow up the Safety Grab with a bash from the melee attack. And if they’re grunts around, this could help because players would get health from the grunts, and ammo from the moves, which would make them unstoppable.
