Now, a popular upcoming game is set to receive its own unique Xbox.The impending launch ofDiablo 4has been one of the biggest headlines surrounding Blizzard’s lineup of games in recent months. The long-awaitedDiablosequel comes more than 10 years after the release of the last main-series game in 2012’sDiablo 3, with only side titles likeDiablo Immortaland aDiablo 2remaster released in the decade since. Blizzard has already given fans their first look at the new game, officially launchingDiablo 4’s beta last week. Neither the appearance nor the official announcement date was revealed, but the post did reveal the console variant will release on June 6th. Billbil-kun also paid special mention to the fact that the console is listed as a “bundle,” suggesting it will include the game as well as potentiallya special Xbox controller. TheDiablo 4Xbox Series X bundle will reportedly retail for $559.99.
A new Xbox console modeled afterDiablo 4would not be the first time Blizzard has collaborated with Microsoft on limited-edition hardware. Leading up to the release ofDiablo 2 Resurrectedin 2021, Microsoft held a giveaway for a customDiablo 2-themed Xbox Series X, complete with a 3D Diablo emerging from the top of the device. Microsoft’s potentialDiabloXbox comes as the beta has given fans their first look at the long-awaitedDiablo 4. While many players have been excited to return to the world of Sanctuary, the open beta has been met with its fair share of criticism. Popular streamer Asmongold wasparticularly critical ofDiablo 4’s Druid class, feeling that the Druid feels underpowered and “not as fun to play” as a sorcerer from its initial build. Regardless,Diablo 4has gotten plenty of people talking and an exclusiveDiabloXbox will be sure to please fans.
