Sea of Starsdraws heavily from its classic JRPG inspiration, presenting players with an open world full of mysteries, monsters, and puzzles. Solving these puzzles is vital to unlocking the full power ofSea of Stars' two protagonists, and the Solstice Shrine on Evermist Island is no exception.
Before players can attempt the Solstice Shrine puzzle on Evermist Island, they’ll first have to have received the Evermist Shrine Key, which they will receive as part of themain storyline in Mirth. Once they’ve got the key, they can head straight to the Shrine on the eastern side of Evermist Island.
How to Solve the Solstice Shrine Puzzle on Evermist Island
EachSolstice Shrine puzzle inSea of Starsis different. The Evermist Island puzzle requires players to move a purple block from a start point to an end point along a specific route. Players can do this by manipulating the other blocks in the puzzle area, which serve as walls to stop the purple block from sliding too far. The correct route for the Evermist Island Solstice Shrine can be found on the wall above the puzzle, and isUp, Left, Left, Up, Right, Up, Up.
To move the purple block in this way, players will need to move it and the two gray blocks in the following order:
Rewards for the Solstice Shrine on Evermist Island
Completing the puzzle will open a hidden area, allowing players to collect their reward from a treasure chest. The reward for the Evermist Island Shrine is theScroll of Soonrang, which unlocks a new combo skill for Valere and Zale.Soonrang is a powerful combo skillthat adds Zale’s sun damage to Valere’s Moonerang ability, allowing players with good timing to deal huge amounts of sun and moon damage for the relatively low cost of 2CP.
As well as the immediate reward of the Scroll of Soonrang, completing the Solstice Shrine on Evermist Island is also a requirement forunlocking the secret portalthat can be found on the island’s Mountain Trail. Once players have solved all the Solstice Shrines, they’ll be able to enter the portal andunlock a hidden boss fight, with the final reward being a powerful weapon for Zale.
