Dragons inSkryimare a formidable adversary in the game, with the strongest being the Ancient Dragons. One unluckySkyrimplayer was tossed to their death while fighting an epic battle with an Ancient Dragon.
Ancient Dragons are the most resilient and oldest dragons found inSkyrimthat the Dragonborn can encounter on their journey. They are typically first seen when a Dragonborn is level 35, but can be encountered as early as level 28. They become increasingly more frequent by level 50. The types of dragons begin at low-level dragons,slightly more powerful Blood Dragons, increasingly difficult Elder Dragons, and finally the highest in difficulty, the Ancient Dragons.

Reddit user Sibernetiq shared a video of their epic fight with an Ancient Dragon in the College of Winterhold. In the clip, Sibernetiq gets very close to the dragon’s face to continue attacking it bring its health very close to death. They somehow trigger thedragon’s kill-cam animationwhere the creature takes the Dragonborn into its mouth. The dragon then shakes Sibernetiq’s Dragonborn and then ends up tossing them to the side, conveniently in the direction of a window through which the Dragonborn falls to their death. The clip ends when the game loads the player back to their last checkpoint.
The animation where adragon inSkyrimtakes the player’s Dragonborn into its mouth is usually a killing move, leaning towards the end of the battle and the dragon’s victory. It was clearly a funny accident that the dragon ended up throwing the player out the window to seal their fate. The most disappointing thing about this battle is that Sibernetiq got the Ancient Dragon’s health down to its lowest point, but ends up ultimately losing the battle.
Dragon fights can be won or lost in many different ways, even when anNPC comes an interrupts an ongoing battle with a dragon. It can be an annoying inconvenience when a player loses out on the spoils that can be won from a battle with a dragon other than its soul, especially that of an Ancient Dragon.
Instances such as this one can be a massive inconvenience since a dragon usually doesn’t come back to the same location after the player dies. With that in mind, funny accidents like this one are part of what makesSkyrima game players keep coming back toagain and again just to see what crazy thing or glitch could happen in their next play session.
