Summary
Players have uncovered yet another funnyMarvel’s Spider-Man 2glitch, one that makes Peter Parker perform the infamous “Naruto Run.” Insomniac’s thirdSpider-Mangame finally launched on the PlayStation 5 last month, earning rave reviews and becoming one of the developer’s most acclaimed titles in the span of a few short weeks. Fans have dug deep intoSpider-Man 2’s open-world sandbox in search of side missions and Easter eggs, including references to otherpopular Marvel superheroes like the Fantastic Fourand Daredevil.
Not every amusing player discovery inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2is intentional, as fans have reported many strange bugs and glitches while playing the hit superhero blockbuster. Some of the more particularly noteworthy glitches have transformed Miles Morales into a small white cube and allowed players to explore New York City asSpider-Man 2’s main antagonist, Venom, though some of these have since been patched out by Insomniac. OtherSpider-Man 2bugs have offered players bizarre waysto navigate the streets of Manhattan, including one that allows Peter Parker to channel his inner ninja.
During a certain portion ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, players can ride on Peter Parker’s childhood bicycle across New York City. Some players have figured out ways to access the bike outside of this story-specific mission, and a Twitter and YouTube user by the handle of MIKIO0407 came across an unusual and entertainingSpider-Man 2glitch during a joyride. After trying to take the bike into a subway entrance, Peter is knocked off, though he still maintains his seated pose. His arms are eventually pulled back behind him, causing him to look like the main character ofNarutowhile running.
In theNarutoanime, ninjas can run at superhuman speeds by leaning forward with their arms outstretched behind them, just like Peter does in this newestMarvel’s Spider-Man 2glitch. The so-called“Naruto Run” has become a popular meme, especially during the infamous “Storm Area 51” movement back in 2019 that saw people claim that they could break into Air Force’s Area 51 base by performing the ninja run. The Naruto Run has even appeared in video games outside of its home franchise thanks toPokemon GOglitches and requests to haveGenshin Impact’s Kuki Shinobu do it.
In the meantime, it looks like Peter Parker is joining in on the trend in a recently discoveredMarvel’s Spider-Man 2bug, which is made all the funnier when one remembers thatPeter’s voice actor Yuri Lowenthalhas a supporting role inNarutoas Sasuke Uchiha. This isn’t the first time that fans have linked Lowenthal’s Peter Parker to another one of his famous roles, but perhaps having the ability to run at ninja-level speeds could help in chasing down supervillains like Venom and Kraven.
