2018’sSpider-Manis the game that most Spidey fans have been waiting for sinceSpider-Man 2for Playstation 2. This game brought back one of the coolest aspects of Spider-Man as a whole: a broad customization range. There’s plenty more room for even more customization inMarvel’sSpider-Man: Miles Morales. There are also a few power-ups that would be cool to see again. Conversely, there are some that need to stay onSpider-Man PS4.

While most of these power-ups are cool in their own ways, some are more useful than others. This list analyzes ten different suit powers fromSpider-Man PS4, and why or why not they should be welcomed back in the upcomingMiles Moralesgame.
10Want Back: Web Blossom
Ah, yes, the great Web Blossom power-up. This one originally comes with the Repaired Classic Suit. This move is very similar to the classic web barrier move that occurs in previous, older games, where Spidey covers himself in webbing and then projects it all over nearby enemies.
In this case, however, players jump up in the air asSpider-Manspins quickly and then he shoots web balls all over his foes. It’s a pretty sticky situation! This really helps slow things down and gives players a chance to gather themselves and focus on attacks.
9Do Without: Sound of Silence
Of course, the Noir suit is pretty bomb, but its power-up isn’t too impressive. The Sound of Silence is cool and all, but it’s not very effective in battle. However, it is fun for stealth missions, or for players who like the rush of sneak attacks. But otherwise, it’s far from being the coolest power-up in the game.
This one pretty much extends the time it takes for enemies to call on their fellow goons. They will still eventually call for help, though. This power-up could be better by extending the time it takes for enemies to alert their friends.
8Want Back: Spider-Bro
This one is a blast. The Spider-Bro power-up comes with none other than the Stark suit. That’s right, just like inSpider-Man Homecoming, players get a robot spider sidekick to help them kick butt. With this power-up, players no longer have to fight alone. How sweet and thoughtful of Mr. Stark.

Even better, Spidey can sit on the sidelines and take a break while Spider-bro takes over. This gives players time to recharge and plan their fight tactics. Conversely, this gives lazier players some time to kick back and be useless. Either way, it’s a handy little power-up.
7Do Without: Low Gravity
Okay, this power-up is pretty cool and it’s definitely not boring by any means. However, this one is virtually useless in battle. Plus, Low Gravity’s title indicates that it’s much slower than it actually is. Its reality is pretty disappointing. Sure, the power-up is cool when jumping from the Empire State Building, or Avenger’s Tower, but that’s about it.
Some of the “for fun” power-ups are definitely interesting, but on the same note, they’re not necessary to bring back. If players want to freefall slowly, they can always go back toSpider-Man PS4to goof off.
6Want Back: Electric Punch
This one is an absolute killer power-up. The Electric Punch not only damages enemies, but it stuns them as well. What a score! This one comes with the Electrically Insulated Suit, making Mr. Parker resistant to his own electric fists. This would have been nice to have around during the Shocker battles, or duringEnter Electro, but better late than never.
It’s pretty fun to whack a few enemies and watch them experience electrocution. An electric zap is probably not what they’re expecting from the web-slinging hero. It’s safe to say that this move is quite shocking.
5Do Without: Defense Shield
Sure, invincibility isn’t the worst thing, but the Defense Shield just isn’t very impressive. This move comes with the Mark IV Spider-armor suit. Yeah, being hit-proof for a short while is cool, but what else happens? The answer is nothing. There aren’t any other helpful features to this power-up. There’s no strength increase, or special webbing or moves.

This power-up isn’t the worst, but it definitely needs some improvement if devs plan on bringing it back forMiles Morales. At the very least, the defense barrier should last longer than it does in this game.
4Want Back: Iron Arms
Well, who doesn’t want to be Doctor Octavius but without the whole evil villain thing? This is the perfect way to experience extra arms while trying to save the earth, not destroy it. This comes with the Iron Spider suit, so players feel sort of like a Spider-Man/Iron Man/Doc. Ock hybrid. When using the power-up, four extra arms will pop out and help players tackle foes with ease.
This is a power-up that definitely needs to come back. Its relevancy inSpider-Man PS4makes sense because of Octavius’s role in the game, but a future appearance certainly won’t hurt.
3Do Without: Equalizer
This power-up is great when players are on the winning side. However, it’s not so great when enemies strike back. The Equalizer is an ability that comes with the Undies suit. So, somehow, Spidey’s mask and underwear combination yield a ridiculous amount of both strength and weakness. While the suit’s perk is amazing, its con makes it less than worth it.
This is a funny little suit and suit power-up combination, but it’s not anything Insomniac should bring back into theMiles MoralesSpider-Man platform. If the devs decide to bring back a half-nude suit, it should definitely have a more useful power-up.
2Want Back: Titanium Alloy Plates
Unlike the Spider-armor Mark IV suit, the Mark III version’s power-up is actually quite potent. With the Titanium Alloy Plates addition, Spidey will repel bullets. Not only that, but those bullets will actually fall back onto the enemies. Free ammo, anyone?

This power-up is highly useful, especially during fights with groups such as the Demons or Sable agents. Bullets are one of the most annoying distractions when trying to fight foes, so for those with little patience, this suit will help greatly. There are no downsides to this one.
1Do Without: Concussion Strike
The Concussion Strike first shows up with the White Spider-Man 2099 suit. This power-up is not totally useless, it’s just not that impressive either. This one pales in comparison with other power-ups, such as the Electric Punch or Spider-Bro, for example.
It’s safe to say that the 2099 suits aren’t incredibly impressive in regards to their power-ups. Thankfully, the designs are pretty sick, somewhat redeeming these costumes. Additionally, don’t forget that the Concussion Strike is not to be confused with the Concussive Blast, which is a gadget inSpider-Man PS4.That gizmo is super handy to have around.
