Following the reveal ofSpider-Man: Miles Moralesgameplay footage, and by extension, the remastered PS5 version ofSpider-Man, many in the gaming community became incredibly excited for the game’s release. Since that time, Insomniac Games has continued to promote the game via its social media platforms. Though, when asked about whether the PS5 version ofSpider-Manwould possess certain quality of life features, the studio gave a rather disappointing response.

During the recent PS5 showcase, it was revealed thatMiles Moraleswould have an ultimate edition, which includes an updated, remastered version of the originalSpider-Mangame previously released exclusively on PS4. For fans who did not own a PS4, but are looking to purchase a PS5, this will give them the opportunity to experience the original game for the first time. Though, when asked about certain details, Insomniac had some bad news.

One user inquired on Twitter as to whether or not there the remaster would be getting a physical release, to which Insomniac replied saying that there are no plans for a physical release. It seems that the remaster will only come included with the ultimate edition ofMiles Morales, along withadditional Spider-Suitsexclusively for the ultimate edition. However, the bad news did not stop there, unfortunately.

Insomniac also confirmed that there would be no way for players to transfer over their save data from the PS4 version of the game to the PS5 remaster. So, those who have already bought the game who are looking to buy the remastered version would have to start all the way from the beginning. For those particular fans, it might be better to not buy the ultimate edition or purchaseSpider-Man: Miles Moraleson PS4.

In any case, while this is bad news for many in the gaming community, it sort of makes sense, given that the remaster is only included in the ultimate edition ofMiles Morales. Though, it is nice that the developers will allow players to take onthe Tinkereron PS4 as well as PS5.

Ultimately, players will be able to experience or re-experienceSpider-Manhowever they choose, but the lack of these sorts of quality of life features will be sure to irritate some players, along with howlarge the game file size of the PS5 version ofMiles Moraleswill be. With any luck, the level of quality and enjoyment to be had in terms ofSpider-Man: Miles Moraleswill hopefully make up for these inconveniences.
