Spoilers Ahead for the end ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remake
“Ever Crisis” mirrors the title ofCrisis Core:Final Fantasy 7, Zack Fair’s solo outing, which expanded on his role in the lore. It ended with his death at the hands of Shinra, but inFinal Fantasy 7 Remake,it looks like he survives. Whether this is the result of an alternate universe, split timeline, or both is as yet unknown. It’s also not knownwhat Zack’s role will be going forward, but hopefully, he proves a good addition toFinal Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2, since many fans would be disappointed if he doesn’t.
As for “The First Soldier,” it’s similarly unknown what this entails for Sephiroth, though there can be some speculation.Sephiroth and Aerith’s voice actors recently filmed a scene together, implying that the two will have more interaction. Perhaps Sephiroth will get his own solo section exploring the two characters' connection as it exists inFinal Fantasy 7 Remake– and it does seem to exist, although its nature is unclear.
