Within theStar Warsuniverse, there may be no other group that has as difficult a life as those of Imperial Stormtroopers. The foot soldiers of theGalactic Empireare often shown to be nothing more than cannon fodder for the heroes, made only worse by the fact they are incapable of hitting the broad side of a barn with their blasters. One trooper in particular inStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderproves this in a rather explosive manner in a clip highlighting their inability to shoot straight.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderfollows Cal Kestis, a young Jedi in hiding on the planet Bracca five years after the Jedi Purge and rise of the Galactic Empire seen inStar Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Kestis is forced on the run after being discovered by the Empire and joins former Jedi master Cere Junda, her partner and pilot Greez Dritus, and the small droid BD-1. The crew’s journey takes them across multiple planets as they search for a way to rebuild the Jedi Order while also staying one step ahead of the Empire’s Inquisitors, former Jedi turned to the dark side of the Force and tasked with hunting down the surviving Jedi in hiding across the galaxy.

The Inquisitors are typically flanked by multiple Stormtroopers, not that they provide any meaningful assistance in the formers' hunt for the Jedi. A clip posted toFallen Order’s official Reddit page by user OmusCinder proves this point as a rocket trooper is seen trying to take out a dangerous creature asCal Kestisruns up on the encounter. The young Jedi force pushes the creature off a cliff, and unfortunately for the trooper, they keep their aim at the creature as it falls and fires the rocket directly into the ground in front of themself.
As disastrous as this is for the rocket trooper, it’s fitting given their aforementioned role in theStar Warsuniverse. The films and shows are full of various kinds of stormtroopers, whether it be the standard troopers or the speeder bike-riding scout troopers, suffering disastrous fates when they come across the heroes. They are shot, stabbed, blown up, beaten, and so much more when they attempt to spread the Empire’s will and make the audience questionObi-Wan Kenobi’s description of dangerous and accurate troopers inA New Hope.
However, stormtroopers may get it the worst in video games because of the weapons and abilitiesStar Warsgames often give players to combat the Empire with.Fallen Order, alone, gives players a lightsaber and suite of force powers to rag-doll the white armor-clad troops with when they cross Cal Kestis' path. It may only get worse for stormtroopers, too, depending on how Cal Kestis' power grows in the upcoming sequel,Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
