If there is one slice of modern life that lives on inStarfield’s portrayal of a space-faring future, it’s the taste of good coffee.Starfieldcontains various coffee vendors outlets like Terrabrew and Dawn Roost, plus retailers dedicated to the taste of tea like Tranquilitea. However, there are also several side missions involvingStarfield’s various in-grand brands of hot beverages, including a side quest called Terror Brew that sees players retrieve coffee beans from the belly of a beast.

Starfield’s Terra Brew questcan pose challenges as a side quest with a ferocious creature in a high-level game area. However, it’s possible for lower levels to still beat this quest pretty quickly for a decent amount of credits. It’s a side quest perfect for Beast Hunters for the best possible rewards.

How To Begin Terror Brew In Starfield

To begin the Terror Brew side mission in Starfield, players need to talk to an NPC called Markieff Sutherland inside the Dawn Roost restaurant located in the Residential District of New Atlantis on the planet Jemison in Alpha Centauri.Talk to Markieff, who is sitting at a table towards the back of the café.

Markieff is a coffee connoisseur who isn’t a fan of inferior coffee taste but knows where to find the best, with a catch. Tell Markieff hunting the beans sounds dangerous and ask where to find the best coffee. He’ll tell players the coffee beans are fermented inside the belly of an alien predator. Agree to help Markieff retrieve the coffee beans for a reward. Players with theBeast Hunter background trait inStarfieldcan also negotiate a higher fee of 4,000 credits from Markieff rather than his offer of 2,000 credits by selecting the Beast Hunter dialogue option.

How To Hunt The Predator And Retrieve The Coffee Beans In Starfield’s Terror Brew

When making Terra Brew the active quest, it’s likely that players find the predator on the planet Bel 1 in the Bel system, a level 55 area. However, it’s possible that some players may need to hunt it elsewhere in other randomized locations acrossStarfield’s star map.If players haven’t previously traveled parts of the route or if they don’t have enough fuel to get there in a single jump, they’ll need to hop-scotch their way across, such as jumping via the Volii and Porrima systems and a few more until players can jump from Bannoc II to reach Bel I, selecting theDeserted Relay Stationas the landing location.

The Deserted Relay Station might not seem like an ideal landing location to find the predator as a robot-patrolled station off-limits to humans in a corrosive environment. However, providing players stay out of the compound and out of sight, they won’t attack. Instead, use the scanner to locate the predator patrolling the outskirts of the area.

Follow the perimeter round to the top, and by this point, it’s likely the robots have already killed the predator, whose invisibility ironically didn’t save it. Of course, it’s possible other players might have to fight the predator, which turns out to be a deadly beast called aHunting Trapmaw, one ofStarfield’s enemy creatures like Terramorphs. Lucky players can loot the corpse to grab thefermented coffee beans, Kieran Cooper’s slate, and some other collectibles.

How To Check Kieran Cooper’s Slate (Optional Objective)

Although checking Kieran Cooper’s slate is listed as an optional objective, it’s essential for better rewards at the end of the Terra Brew quest. To check Kieran Cooper’s slate, open the inventory and find the slate under miscellaneous items. Read the slate by pressing A if using an Xbox controller. Reading the slate informs players that there’s another buyer for the coffee beans, and Markieff didn’t give the full story about how to get them to Kieran, who he also hired.

Should You Give The Coffee Beans To Markieff Or Sell Them To The Competitor?

After reading Kieran Cooper’s slate, an optional objective appears called’Sell the beans to the competitor.‘Players must decide whether to return the beans to either Markieff at Dawn Roost or give them to the Terrabrew Manager located in the Terrabrew café in the Commercial District ofStarfield’s city of New Atlantis. The Terrabew Manager wants to destroy the beans so no one knows there is better coffee out there.

Returning the beans to Markieff or Terrabrew gives some different rewards, with Terrabrew being the most profitable optionif players are happy to see the beans destroyed:
