Syphon Filteris a third-person stealth shooter developed by Bend Studios and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1999. The game follows Special Agent Gabriel Logan as he tracks international terrorist Erich Rhoemer with the help of fellow agent Lian Xing. The game is available for the Playstation 4 and 5 as a Digital Download, and is included in the Playstation Plus Classics Collection, as part of Playstation Plus Premium.
ThisSyphon Filterguide will focus on the final objective of the game’s first level, where players must reach the lower level of the Subway to pursue Erich Rhoemer. There are two methods of doing this, though players will need to complete all the other objectives on the level first.

Step 1: Open the Subway
Before players can enter the Subway Station, they’ll need to locate a Bypass Switch for the terminal security doors. Luckily,this can be accessed from the same Bar where Kravitch and the Comm Array can be found, and both need to be eliminated to clear the stage anyway. The Bar is next to the subway station, so players will need to head in there and take out Kravitch and any other foes in their way. Kravitch is wearing a Flak Jacket, so headshots are the ideal method of taking him out. Doing so will allow players to claim his Flak Jacket for themselves if they need it. Put a bullet in the laptop nearby and then find a side room in the Bar with a window.
Climb through the window and look for a fenced off area, shooting off the lock on the gate to get inside. Use the switch, ride the elevator, and locate the bypass switch using the flashlight (this room is dark). Flip the switch to open access to the Subway.
Step 2: Protect the Bomb Squad
Players will then need to head back to where the level started and go behind where the level began to find a path to the Bank.Help out the Bomb Squad Officers at the bankto clear another objective, and now it’s time to go into the Subway.

Step 3: Tag the Bomb
Heading back to the subway entrance near the bar, take the ramp down to the upper section of the subway and use the torch to locate the bomb. Tag it with a beacon to complete the objective. Now it’s time to get to the lower level.
Step 4: Accessing the Lower Level Subway
Now that the upper level of the subway is dealt with, players can head down to the Lower Level and clear the first level ofSyphon Filter. To get there, head to the other end of the subway, and look for a side path with a sign above it which reads “NO EXIT” on the right, across the tracks. Heading through there, players can find a switch to call an elevator on the left.Ride it down to reach the lower level subway, where the final objective of the level resides.
