It just wouldn’t be fall without football, and even the end of Prime Day can’t stop the discounts on the perennial release of popular sports games. Post-Prime Day, the top two football video games are still discounted to get you ready for 2025! EA SPORTS College Football 25 was one of the most highly-anticipated sports games of all time, yet players can get the game for around $40, depending on which console you’re on. Madden NFL 25 is also discounted by 40%, bringing the price to approximately $43, again differing by a dollar or two, depending on whether you play on PS5 or Xbox.
One of the best deals from Prime Day was so good, Amazon has kept it going while supplies last. The 2024Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealthgame, can still be had at a steal for both PS5 and Xbox Series X players. Promising a GTA-style criminal plot, paired with Dead Rising-esque humor throughout,Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealthhas received praise from gamers and critics alike. However, arguably the best gaming deal we’ve seen is Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, which is half-off for both PS5 and Xbox players. It is kind of wild that this game is still on sale for only $30, considering how very recent this latest installment of Assassin’s Creed is. It’s definitely the best price for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage players could have hoped for, and we’re hoping it stays on sale through everyone’s payday over the weekend. Unfortunately, it’s probably going to sell out before then, so if you can grab it now, do so! The post-Prime Day deals won’t last long.

You don’t need a lot of money to get a brand-new game this October. With Prime Day being over, the number of games available for less than $20 has dwindled significantly, but there are still a few options out there.Metal Gear Solidis one of the greatest game series of all time, and now for slightly less than $20, you’re able to add the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 to your games library! Containing the first three Metal Gear games, you’ll get weeks, if not months of gameplay out of this set. It was on sale for everyone during Prime Day, but now the game is only discounted to $20 for PS5 gamers, though Xbox and Switch players do get a slight discount.
Younger players, and their parents, are the ones best able to take advantage of games on sale for $20 or less. Sonic Frontiers is still marked down to $20 for PS5 and Xbox owners, and even the Nintendo Switch version has been knocked down to just $30. LEGO fans can still save big on LEGO 2K Drive, with the loop-de-loop racing game being available for just $20 even after Prime Day’s main deals. Of course, you can always opt instead for LEGO’snewly released Fortnite set, which has arrived just in time for the holidays!
Finally, TMNT fans can add to the growing list of new Ninja Turtle games by picking upTMNT Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants, which just came out in April 2024. Based on the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoon show and a remake of the 2017 game, this new release offers players three additional stages and six additional, never-before-seen bosses, giving players hours of new content!
Playstation continues to havea stranglehold on exclusive content, despite the growing trend of cross-platform game design. However, for gamers who just can’t wait for a port on PC, Switch, or Xbox, the post-Prime Day deals are still making it easy to save and game. Most of the biggest discounts have faded, but Playstation games are one category where Amazon has continued to offer steep discounts, even on brand-new AAA games.
The highly-anticipatedSkull and Bonespirate game was only released this year and, despite a rough start, has plenty of fun adventures to enjoy within its immersive world. The game has a lot of making up to do, so it makes sense that the PS5 version is reduced by an incredible 66%, bringing the price under $25! Xbox players can also save over half the price, with the Series X version currently available for just $30.
Likewise, last summer’sArmored Core VI Fires of Rubiconis still listed at only $40, and while the Xbox version of the game is also at that low price, the discount is nearly three times the amount when looking at the PS5 game price. Alternatively, players can catch up on God of War while they wait to upgrade for the next installment of the series by picking upGod of War Ragnarökwith a 42% price cut after Prime Day.Spiderman 2sold out fast thanks to its great discount, but the previous installment,Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, is still just $40 with its 43% discount holding strong.
Another 2024 release,Banishers: Ghosts of Edenwas marked down by a significant 33%, but now the thrilling adventure game is only $10 cheaper than normal. Other retailers may discount it later during the year, though. Meanwhile, everyone who is ready for October to be in full swing and start enjoying some horror games can still save while picking up one of the year’s most unsettling games:Ad Infinitum. Currently at one of its lowest prices of the year, players aren’t likely to find a discount steeper than 43% anytime soon.
While it’s always true thatXbox Game Passmakes it a tough sell to purchase physical games, Amazon’s post-Prime Day deals works around this by offering discounts on Xbox games that are not a part of Game Pass. In fact, most of the deals available are leftovers from Prime Day, since they’re also the best games to discount.
Fans ofTony Hawk Pro Skater1+2 may have missed the biggest deal of the year on the game, as it had been on sale for only $16 during Prime Day! There’s still time to save up to half-off on the game though, as it’s still discounted by 40% to only $30. This nostalgic game is perfect for both online and offline play, making it a good choice for families who love to game. More big discounts for nostalgic gameplay come in the form of a half-offSonic Superstars. This game modernizes the beloved franchise, while staying true to the elements of the game that everyone loves, such as side-scrolling and switching out Sonic with his friends. Players can get new Sonic gameplay for only $26 while supplies last, so anyone with this game on their wishlist should order it now!
Older players who want that collaborative feel and are looking for more challenging gameplay should consider grabbingDiablo IV, which is still on sale for $42 right now. It’s not the newest game, but it is highly-rated and still has a huge online community. Even greater challenges can be conquered inElden Ring, which was released last year with much acclaim. Post-Prime Day sales have keptElden Ringmarked down by a small 17% discount. This isn’t much, it’s about as steep of a discount as you can expect for one of 2023’s best games.
On the other hand,Tekken 8is top-rated, recently released, and is still heavily discounted due to Prime Day. Xbox players get the best deal, with a 47% discount, although other gamers aren’t left behind with 29% off Tekken 8 for PS5.

Nintendo almost never offers discounts on their games, even when partnered with a retailer as powerful as Amazon. Now that Prime Day is over, the deals are disappearing quickly, yet some top Nintendo games remain marked down.
Super Mario Bros. Wonderwas released less than a year ago, but Nintendo fans can pick it up for 13% less than normal during early Prime Day deals. For the same price, you can pick upPikmin 4too, which also came out in 2023 andis highly rated. Surprisingly, one of the best video game deals during Prime Day is still available exclusively to Switch gamers.Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeancewas just released this past June, yet for a limited time, players can grab this new game at an incredible price 60% lower than MSRP! Almost equally surprising is the fact that during the post-Prime Day deals,Hogwarts Legacyis now 40% off for Switch users only. The magical game isn’t the best on the Switch, but it’s still an immersive experience, and one that budget gamers shouldn’t pass over.
Should You Purchase A Video Game On Prime Days?
Prime Day is over now, and the deals have mostly gone away. Despite this, there are still a few opportunities to grab a great game at a fantastic price. Parents shopping for video games for Christmas and other holidays are particularly in luck this year. Similarly, fans of single-player games are still seeing the biggest discounts on some very recent releases. If one of these games is specifically one that you’ve been waiting for, definitely grab it quickly, as supplies are actually limited following Prime Day.
