Rainbow Six Siegehas been very popular over the last few years. It excels at showcasing some tense moments, which not only makes it one of the best shooters but one of thebest tactical shootersout there. Now with the release ofRainbow Six Extraction, everything is turned up to eleven, because players are fighting an alien invasion instead of each other.

While pickingthe best operatorfor the job is the first part of keeping the aliens at bay, choosing the weapons that are the best fit for the situation is just as important. However, players who are veterans ofRainbow Six Siegewill know that not all weapons will do what they want, so trying them out is always the best idea. This list should make the job easier for both new and old players to find the best weapons to beat the alien’s invasion or help players try a new weapon to help them become more versatile.
6Supernova
This shotgun comes with a lot of punch but without the noise to alert enemies. While not as strong as the other shotguns inRainbow Six Extractionit stillholds its own. Having better stats in the other departments (like recoil) makes this shotgun worthwhile. This is because, even though it won’t do much damage at the start, over time it’ll do a ton thanks to its accuracy being leagues above the others.
Every shot counts, and going close range with the accuracy of this gun is a deadly combination. On top of that, one of the best attackers,Hibana, can usethis when players unlock it at level three. Generally speaking, it’s an easy gun to use for new players because the operator, Hibana is one of the easier operators to use.
5M590A1
Unlike the Supernova, the M590A1 is the run-of-the-mill shotgun. If players aren’t worried about being sneaky, then this shotgun is a good pick, because it does a lot of damage, but it also makes noise. Since players using this shotgun are already going in guns blazing, they don’t need to worry about much, since this 12-gauge shotgun is aone-hit kill. The player can run in as Sledge or Smoke and easily take down the horde of aliens.

On top of it having power, it can stun the elite enemies. allowing players to follow up with the killing blow. Additionally, it can punch a hole through walls, allowing for paths to be opened for the squad to safely traverse the map. Both the Supernova and the M590A1 have benefits, but the player should consider their playstyle before picking one.
4AK-12
While extremely powerfulfor a weapon in its class, this rifle has a trade-off: the recoil. Shooting from a distance won’t be ideal for players, since the shots will likely miss. On the other hand, going up closer but being cautious will give players a higher chance of taking down the base aliens.
It’s even more useful against the higher level Proteans because of the damage output, so it’s a good idea for players to have an operator that can use it and take a lot of damage. From being highly customizable withthe many skinsplayers can pick from, to attachments that can fix the recoil issue, it can be a good weapon to use — provided players take their time with it.
3MP5K
This gun is probably one the best medium- to short-range SMGs inRainbow Six Extraction. It’s not as strong as its assault rifle counterpart, but that shouldn’t matter, because players who are using this gun are also using operators that are good support characters.

The MP5K can eat through the enemies' health quite quickly which makes things easier, especially against the main alien horde. Being a balanced gun makes it easier for newer players inRainbow Six Extractionbecause everything it offers benefits the player: speed, accuracy, and power. It’s a good weapon to have at the start. Additionally, much like the AK-12,it’s highly customizable. The skins that are offered to players can make their gun unique, especially in addition to the attachments. These customizable options can make the SMG a very powerful gun to use.
2Spear .308
This weapon is not as strong as the V308 but it does have things the V308 doesn’t, like better accuracy. If players aim for headshots, it can become a one-shot kill. Since the accuracy is higher than the other guns in its class, those headshots will come with ease, and new players will have a fun time using the Spear .308 because of that.
While it takes more to down enemies, players should get an operator that can make up for the lack of power, like Finka, who not only unlocks at level one, but also has an Adrenaline Surge that makes her easily get shots in on top of what her squad is doing. That combination makes taking down the aliens easier and faster.
1V308
This assault rifle holds the record for being the strongest weapon inRainbow Six Extractionand for good reason. It’s extremely powerful on the stats, it handles easily, and it’s unlocked quite early inRainbow Six Extraction.Although the recoil can dampen the firing, this can be easily fixed by putting a grip on it. For enhanced control, players have the option of taking out the default silencers and putting a compensator on it.
All these things make the V308 the best gun for what players can do. Since it’s easy to handle, it has quality specs, and it can be unlocked really early, players should look into it because the V308 gets better and better every time it’s upgraded.
Rainbow Six Extractionis available now on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, Stadia, and Luna
