A Reddit user, ImAFlyingShark, noticed a small but awesome detail when modifying one of the many guns available.
Besides players simply finding weapons throughoutThe Last of Us 2and using them until they can’t anymore, replacing them with another along their journey, they can also modify some weapons in order to improve them. When ImAFlyingShark did this while playing as Ellie, they realized that the dirt on the gun they modified was cleaned off.

ImAFlyingShark posted two images on Reddit. The first image shows what the gun looked like when it was dirty, before ImAFlyingShark modified it. The second image shows how the dirt on the gun has been removed, making it look shiny, with the text on it being easier to read. One of the reasons the game is so worthy of praise is because of the small details that fans have noticed.The Last of Us 2was released nearly two years ago, yet players are still making interesting discoveries to this day.
These images, along with otheraspects ofThe Last of Us Part 2that can easily be missed, show how just how much work Naughty Dog put into developingthe game. Many fans appreciate these minor details, as they makeThe Last of Us 2more realistic and give players more reasons to play the game over again in the hopes of discovering something new.

These fans recalled that there are times in which Ellie, along with Abby, can actually be seen wiping dirt and water off their guns. Fans can only hope that therumored remake ofThe Last of Us, as well as the HBO adaptation, will have a lot of hidden things for them to notice as well.
