Hitoshi Haga returns to the series as the director for the third season after previously working on four episodes in season one. Keigo Koyanagi is involved in the scripts for the anime, while Kevin Penkin is handling the music. Kinema Citrus is making a return and will be involved in the anime production. Masahiro Suwa, Sana Komatsu, and Franziska van Wulfen are designing the characters. Kōta Sera will also be helping out with the character designs for the upcoming season.
The opening theme song “SIN” will be performed by MADKID, while Chiai Fujikawa will perform the ending theme song “Suki ni Natte wa Ikenai Riyū”. The two artists return after having worked on the previous seasons.The Rising of the Shield Herowas initially published as a webnovel, but it was later rewritten. Presently, the publishing duties for the series are being handled by Media Factory. So far, over 20 volumes have been published.
The popularity of the series led to it being adapted into a manga, which was written by Aiya Kyū. Media Factory also handles the publication of the manga, and it has released more than 23 volumes.

The second season was finally released in April 2022 and lasted until June 2022. It was shorter than the initial season, and it only had 13 episodes.
