ThisHogwarts Legacytrickwas posted to Reddit by user Venalytc, and is deceptively simple. According to the player, gamers can open the Manage Beasts tab within the vivarium to collect everything that the beasts have to offer. Most players will go around to each individual beast and interact with them in order to collect everything possible. It turns out that this is actually a pretty large waste of time, with a much more efficient option available.
This trick hidden withinHogwarts Legacy’s vivariumsmight seem obvious to some, but there were plenty of Redditors equally shocked by the discovery. Most thought that they could only summon the beasts from that menu, not knowing what else was possible within. There was one downside to the trick pointed out - players would miss out on the interactions between the beasts and the protagonist, but for how much time this would save, for many it’s a price certainly worth paying.
While theHogwarts Legacyprevious-gen release has been a success, many gamers continue to wonder if there are any plans for some DLC for the game. There have been some smaller cosmetic pieces, but nothing of real gameplay substance. Job listings seem to indicate that Avalanche Software has moved on to the development of a brand-new title instead. It would be an enormous surprise if the developer was to leave money on the table, especially with gamers jumping back into the game months after its initial release. There’s still time though, and the next few months will be crucial to see if anything comes to fruition.
Hogwarts Legacyis available now on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, with a Switch port releasing July 25.
