Popular content creator Dalauan Sparrow, better known by his online moniker LowTierGod, has been banned fromTwitchon June 5. His latest removal from the Amazon-owned streaming service adds to the already lengthy list ofhigh-profile Twitch bans in 2023.LowTierGod, who rose to prominence for his hostile persona in the fighting game community, experienced some particularly turbulent times over the last six months. After his YouTube channel was permanently banned in late 2022, the controversial streamer moved to Twitch, which he previously left for YouTube over another ban. It onlytook a few weeks for Twitch to ban LowTierGodagain following his return, although that account suspension only ended up lasting for a week, having ended on May 5.RELATED:Amouranth’s Followers Blame Her for High Gas PricesA month later,Twitchhas now hit LowTierGod with yet another ban. His latest removal from the streaming service was fairly short-lived, having lasted for only seven hours, as per StreamerBans. Since Twitch has a policy of not commenting on individual cases of account sanctions, LowTierGod’s fans eager to find out the official story behind this development can only hope that the streamer shares the reasoning for the ban that Twitch had given to him, which he hasn’t done as of this writing.

That notwithstanding, one of LowTierGod’s viewers has already put out a credible theory for his latest ban, positing that the penalty was prompted by a movie scene with nudity that was shown during LowTierGod’s latest stream. The Twitch Community Guidelines explicitly prohibit the broadcasting of any content that contains depictions of real and incompletely censored nudity. This theory would explain the short-lived nature of the suspension, seeing how more harmful content such ashate speech historically warrant much lengthier Twitch bans.

Sparrow’s latest removal from Twitch did not have an apparent impact on the size of his fandom on the platform, as his LowTierGod channel continues to boast just shy of 180,000 followers. The controversial streamer has also been experimenting with Kick since early 2023, but his following on the platform is more than 10 times smaller.

Since Twitch appears to be LowTierGod’s biggest remaining source of steady income, the streamer might be more inclined to stay on good behavior moving forward. Yet his track record suggests he might find it hard to do so, not least because many of his followers expect him to constantly rage on screen, which Twitch allows up to a certain point. LowTierGod’s career has also been mired in other controversies, likegetting banned from Capcom’sStreet Fighter 5over a transphobic outburst, which doesn’t suggest that his streaming efforts will remain uninterrupted for long.
