Pokimane had this to say regarding Dawson’s YouTube apology video: “The way that he’s jumping between topics seems to send such disingenuous vibes. If you want to come back and want to seriously apologize and you want people to know how aware you are of the s****y things you did. When it’s a real apology you should look like you feel bad and you should tell people at length how you feel about what you did wrong.“Pokimane herself recently apologizedfor overusing African American slang or AAVE language which the majority of her fans forgave her for due to her actually acknowledging her wrongdoing and apologizing sincerely.

She claimed that Dawson did not delve too deeply into any of the specific issues that caused him to be canceled in the first place and criticized him for making light of his “past shenanigans.” Pokimane’s is generally outspoken about many topics, discussing how she felt aboutstreamers dating fansnot too long ago.
Pokimane concluded her stream by stating that Dawson not apologizing outright for anything he did wrong is ultimately her main gripe with the YouTuber’s comeback video. She felt that he did not acknowledge any wrongdoing on his part and didn’t showcase that he had changed.
In the video, Dawson explained that he didn’t say how he really felt as to not make people think he was only trying to gain sympathy, which Pokimane did not agree with. She went on to say that Dawson only should have apologized if he felt like he was sorry and not just because he wanted to make a comeback to the YouTube platform.
Dawson has yet to respond to the Twitch star’s comments but it seems as though this will not be the last timePokimane criticizes influencersshe does not agree with as she has spoken out before on the topic and will likely continue to do so.
