FromSoftware’sElden Ringis a game filled with incredibly challenging boss fights, but one fight in particular has stood out as the hardest in the game. It seems manyElden Ringplayers are in agreement that the fight against Malenia is the hardest fight in the entire game thanks to her speed, devastating attacks, and frustrating ability to heal herself. As a result, it’s not uncommon at all forElden Ringplayers to summon in co-op partners to help them win the fight.
OneElden Ringplayer has made a name for themselves as one of Malenia’s toughest opponents. TheElden Ring"Let Me Solo Her" player has helped hundreds of people win their fight with Malenia, becoming a legend in the community in the process. OtherElden Ringplayers have attempted tomimic Let Me Solo Her, but some have also made parody versions that are the exact opposite of helpful.

Reddit user Omar-uWaMouShinderu was recently summoned in to help anElden Ringplayer with theMalenia boss fight. Omar and the host player were joined by a partner with the name “Do It Yourself” as a parody of “Let Me Solo Her.” Whereas the Let Me Solo Her player takes pride in beating Malenia on their own, Do It Yourself instead just sat in front of the boss door, letting Omar and the host player do all the work.
While someElden Ringplayersmay consider this griefing, players can actually see the names of summons before they bring them into their world, so the host knew the player was called Do It Yourself before bringing them in to help. However, the Malenia boss fight is such a high traffic area for summoning that it’s possible the host player could have been desperately trying to summon in anyone they could, even if their name indicated that they may not actually be much help in the fight.
It will be interesting to see if FromSoftware makes any adjustments to Malenia to make the fight a little easier. As it stands, the studio has actually made the fight more difficult. One of the mostrecentElden Ringupdates nerfed a Malenia cheese strategythat players would use to make the fight easier on themselves. That same update also caused a bug where Malenia was healing herself even when her hits weren’t landing, though FromSoftware has since fixed that issue.
Malenia is largely considered the most difficultElden Ringboss right now, but it’s possible that even tougher foes will be added in a potential DLC expansion. FromSoftware has not announced any plans forElden RingDLC, but considering the game’s immense popularity, it would be very surprising if one wasn’t released in some form.
Elden Ringis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
