As the Halloween season quickly approaches, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort have just announced another house coming to the annual Halloween Horror Nights event. TheUniversalClassic Monsters will be returning once again in the brand-new house, Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines.
Each year, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort transform the parks into Halloween Horror Nights, an after-hours event featuring several haunted houses and scarezones themed after a variety of Universal-owned properties as well as original concepts. The event usually takes place from September to early November, although this year the event starts earlier than ever, with the Orlando event opening on August 30. This year, Orlando is confirmed to have 10 haunted houses while Hollywood will feature eight, and both parks will be featuring iconic franchises likeInsidious, Ghostbusters,andA Quiet Place.However, another house has just been announced for both parks, this time featuring the Universal Classic Monsters, who have had a consistent presence at Halloween Horror Nights since 2019.
Earlier today,Universal revealedUniversal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines, a house that will feature and focus on a group of female powerhouses, including the Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula’s Daughter, She-Wolf of London, the mummified Egyptian princess Anuck-Su-Namun, and Saskia Van Helsing. The story line revolves around a fierce battle between Saskia Van Helsing and Dracula’s daughter, with each of the other female characters coming to life from various classic monster films.
Universal Monsters Join Halloween Horror Nights
The Universal Monsters have been taking the Halloween Horror Nights events by storm in the last five years as the Universal Orlando Resort prepares to open Epic Universe next summer, with an entire area dedicated toDark Universe and the Universal Monsters. Not only have the Monster houses each year been well received and highly regarded, but they have also allowed a new generation of horror fans to connect with the classic monsters that started it all. This year, the monsters join three other Universal properties and six original houses at Universal Orlando, rounding out the list as the final house announcement, while Universal Hollywood appears to have two more announcements to go.
Tickets are already on sale for both events, including single-night and multi-day tickets, with Hollywood tickets starting at $77 and Orlando tickets starting at $83. The event ends on November 3 for both parks and guests can visit on select nights between Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the course of the event. Both parks also offer additional experiences, including Express Passes, R.I.P. Tours for V.I.P. entry, and more. Guests visiting Universal Orlando can also experience the brand-new Dreamworks Land or see thenostalgic Mega Movie Paradeon select days until November 14.
