The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildandSuper Mario Odysseyare two of the greatest games of the last decade, and they debuted within the Switch’s debut year. There is also always a chance that the bestSwitch gamehas yet to be released. In just 2023,The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,Metroid Prime Remastered,Pikmin 4,Super Mario Wonder, andAdvance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Campwere all console exclusives. 2024 had quite a few exclusives as well, including games centering around Princess Peach and Zelda.Marioeven received two RPGs.

At the moment, June does not seem set to be a particularly strong moment forNintendo Switch games, which makes sense since all eyes will be on the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. Still, that system’s predecessor will be receiving new games. The biggest title announced isTron: Catalyst, an action-adventure project set within Disney’s franchise. That said,System Shock 2remastered has also been announced, which is a major deal since the immersive sim is considered an all-time great game.

As the month after the Nintendo Switch 2 debuts, July 2025 seems destined to be an afterthought for the original console, especially since quite a few titles will likely land on the new hardware as well. Still, Switch owners have projects that they can look forward to, and July could end up being among the better months of the year when everything is said and done.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4should be a blast of nostalgia, and both titles are considered masterpieces of their genre.Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impactshould be a fine arena brawler, andShadow Labyrinthlooks good.Tales of the Shire: A Lord of The Rings Gameseems set to be a memorable cozy take on the franchise.

It remains to be seen whether the Switch is still remotely relevant by August 2025. Regardless of what happens, a fewSwitch 2025 gamesare confirmed for the month, so it is not like the console will be completely discontinued by this point.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2is largely for die-hard fans of the anime and manga, but the first game was a solid arena fighter. Speaking of anime,Inazuma Eleven: Victory Roadlooks pretty good and should be a considerable step-up from older entries in the series.Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaarshould hit the mark with farming life sim fans, whileShinobi: Art of Vengeancerevives a classic IP in style.
