Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhuntis a battle royale by Sharkmob that puts players in the shoes of vampires during a bloodhunt in Prague. Players must navigate the streets and rooftops, seeking blood and equipment as they hunt down other vampires, all the while the forces of the Second Inquisition aim to kill any vampire setting foot near their emplacements.
Powers
The Brujah are a clan known as “Warrior Poets” in the World of Darkness andspecialize in the vampire disciplines Presence, Potence, and Celerity. The Brute specializes entirely in Potence, the discipline of vampiric strength. The Brujah Brute’s first power isthe Clan Power “Soaring Leap"which allows them to launch themselves forwards through the air quickly. This gives them excellent vertical and horizontal movement and allows them to navigate between the Streets and Rooftops of Prague with ease. Soaring Leap can also be useful for escaping from an unfavorable fight, or for positioning perfectly to catch enemies unawares.
The Brujah Brute’sPassive Power “True Grit"encourages a hit-and-run approach, allowing them to regenerate up to half of their health over time whenever they aren’t taking damage. This makes them excellent at recovering quickly from damage and leaping back into the fray to keep swinging. Paired with Soaring Leap it can be used to take a quick breather and recover before launching back into combat.
The Brute’s final power is theArchetype Power “Shock Wave Punch.“This allows them to perform a punch with such force that it creates a shock wave, traveling forwards a short distance. This can hurl enemies off their feet and even deflects bullets in its path, making it useful for disrupting enemies, repositioning them for follow-up attacks or allied attacks, and also for defending against most ranged weapons in emergencies.
Preferred Weapons
As an excellent frontline fighter, the Brujah brute performs excellently with weapons that work well at close-mid range.Naturally, Scourge Blades or a Katana work well as melee weapons, with the lifedrain and dash attack from the Scourge Blades providing excellent survivability and mobility while the Katana’s block provides a means of safely closing the distance.

The Assault Rifle continues to perform excellently as an all-range weapon with a good fire rate and decent damage, making it a solid choice for any archetype, while the minigun and pump-action shotgun perform excellently as beefier damage options at mid-range and close-range respectively. The raw damage output of dual pistols at close range is also an attractive option for this build, as Brujah will often find themselves facing the enemy at close-range.
Preferred Blood Resonances
Blood Resonance is a feature carried over from the tabletop game, which allows vampires to gain various benefits from blood, based on the emotional state of their victim. This makes choosing which mortals to drain while navigating Prague inVampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhuntall the more important, and a key element of match strategy.
The Brujah Brute has a natural regeneration power in True Grit, and this can be further enhanced using Sanguine (pink) resonance. Each Sanguine resonance acquired grants the player an amount of natural health regeneration (0.5, 1.5, and then 3.0 per second). This can stack with the True Grit regeneration to allow the Brute to minimize their need for blood bags and syringes, and re-enter the fight quickly after taking damage.
Melee-focused players will also find Choleric (orange) resonance useful, granting a 10%, 25%, and finally 50% boost to melee damage. This allows the Brute to tear through an opponent with ease at melee range, especially with the Katana or Scourge Blades.
Filling up resonance slots and acquiring new ones by diablierizing vampires or draining Second Inquisition soldiers is essential to staying ahead of the enemy.
